I'd get one for my wife when Verizon gets them but I'm going to see what's out there when my contract is up--gotta read up on Windows phones because on gadget blogs it sounds like they've got a lot going for them.
Both Bookman and you have good points about the iPhone and Android. If anything, it seems like we're seeing a repeat of the computer revolution where the iPhone makes having a smartphone a necessity for the masses (rather than Blackberry being for the work crowd) and the Android actually takes the idea and runs with it. Google is playing the role of Microsoft in this scenario, but the idea remains the same.

I think it just carries over from the Mac/PC days...

iPhone ~ Mac = simple, easy-to-use, non-customizable, reliable, exclusive
Android ~ PC = more complex, very customizable, reliability depends on the user, non-exclusive

Hardware is practically the same between the two, OS and apps are different and non-compatible.

You can't make this up: the top Iowa WR is arrested for having drugs sold out of his house.

i like the "left his future in doubt" part at the beginning. I'd say his future as far as college football goes is pretty cut and dried.

Just found this:

I, personally, like the Transformers movies. I take them for what they are, all action, some story. I will say I am intrigued by this trailer.

Anyway, Enjoy!

It's upbeat and fun. At least that's why I like it.

I friggen grew up with Transformers in the 80's, so I really, really liked the first one. The second one...sigh. I get irritated when I think about how much better that movie could have been, because it was soooooo excessive (the fight scenes, the amount of robots, the volume, etc.)

That being said, Bay said he got a little carried away with the 2nd one, so here's hoping this one will be better. I'll go check it out.

Okay, Always Sunny was so damn good that I was laughing until I started crying, then coughing, had to pause the show, take a five minute break, then re-watch the scene to get all that I missed. No exaggeration, one of the top five funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

Transformers 1 was a blast, 2 was boring and I shut it off halfway through.

Sunny was awesome last night and The League season finale was great too. I was crying during a few scenes on both shows.

The first Transformers was good, and then Michael Bay out-Michael Bay'd himself for the second one and tried stuffing even MORE explosions into the second movie. I could live without the second movie. The third one looks good though and there's even new eye candy replacing Megan Fox!

yeah, the second one made me uncomfortable in places...the same kind of empathetic discomfort i get when i notice someone ****ing up on stage. It tried too hard to be funny, for one thing. I prefer a Grimdark approach.

Agreed but there's not a bad character on The League.

The dialogue on that show is just insanely funny.
