FINALLY!
Kid deserves an opportunity, he's played very well in Manchester and earned this call-up, excited to see him centering the 4th line or maybe playing on the 2nd line RW with Stoll and Smyth. Obviously I hope Lewis stays on the 2nd line though

Moller's talents would be wasted if he isn't in the top six.

Lewis has played well on that line but they are not scoring, 2nd line has to score

I'm looking forward to this. Top 6 or bust..Utilize his talents and give him a shot, otherwise why even call him up.

I could definitely see Lewis going back to the 4th and Oscar going into the 2nd line wing, but who knows. Im hoping Oscar does well though, I have always liked him since he came in as a rookie.

I agree completely. Lewis has been improving but I'd like to see Moller on the right of Smyth-Stoll and Lewis center the fourth line.

Yeah, it'll probably look like this

Brown-Kopitar-Williams
Smyth-Stoll-Moller
Poni-Handzus-Simmonds
Clifford-Lewis-Westgarth

Ugh, I really wish Lewis could stay on the 2nd line though

Man imagine if Westgarth could actually skate, that would be an awesome 4th.

Richardson on that 4th line would look nice eh?

Clifford-Lewis-Richardson

If Moller can contribute on the 2nd line, then we can actually have a fourth line that looks like that and still have a fighter in Clifford

That would be my guess. He took the elbow straight to the jaw. Maybe not a concussion and they just plan to sit him for a game to be safe.

Regardless, Moller has earned this call-up. Let's hope he blows up and sticks with the big club!

I also agree with the top-6 or bust idea as far as Moller is concerned.

I think Richie will be out longer than a game. If not why even call up Moller when you still have Zeiler and even Harrold/Drewiske who TM can put on the 4th.

Moller audition to see if Sturm would still be needed? Martinez came up and pretty much stole Drewiske's job when Mitchell gets back. Maybe Moller will steal Parse's job.

I would also go with a Smyth-Stoll-Moller line and put Lewis on the 4th line/PK line.

Makes even more sense when you know Westgarth won't play on Monday against the Wings.

This will be a waste if he isn't, but I haven't seen him play in a long time. IIRC he did get some work on the powerplay a couple years ago. Looked very good there, but I think a majority of his points came through Frolov's stick.

I don't know about Richie being out more than a game. This could be precautionary, and it's not like the Kings needed to make another move to call Moller up. A one game callup is the perfect reward for a guy like Oscar at this point, especially when someone like Elkins would have been a better choice to center the fourth line for a longer period of time.

If King could get a freakin shot at the top 6, why not Moller? I would take Moller as my top LW rather than King lol

Moller hasn't done much in Manchester, but we don't have many other options.

Like others have said, there's no point in having him in the bottom six. When he's not scoring, which is usually the case, he's useless.

He has 17 points in 19 games. Don't forget that he started off slowly because he had some injury issues. He apparently has played well since Loktionov arrived in Manchester.

About time. He should have been in the lineup the moment Parse went down. He just makes things happen on the ice. Let the kid play and if he gets killed, so what? Let him play through it just like Lubo and Danny Briere had to.

He has been more productive recently, but I'm not looking at overall points, I'm looking at goals.

He's much more of a shoot first goal scorer than a playmaker. So that fact that he's only notched 6 goals in 19 games in the minors, doesn't give me high hopes for how he'll fair in the NHL.

I know stats don't tell the whole story, he could end up being very effective in the top 6, but I'm highly skeptical.
