Man, Iginla looks awesome out there. A balls to the wall effort every shift. I love seeing that out of him. He's actually been pretty consistent since getting over that initial slump as well. He's not about to win a cup on this team, however, which is unfortunate.
Loubardious is awesome. Just a really nice, honest guy, who's good for a laugh every now and again. I've grown quite accustomed to his voice.
Also, no clue why Kotalik wasn't used in the shootout.
the shootout is always a reminder to me how little talent the flames have. when the ducks can put out getzlaf, perry, lupul and the best the flames can put out is tanguay, hagman, bourque. now, those guys are usually pretty decent in shootouts, but when you see guys like getzlaf and perry circling, getting ready to take that puck in, you almost know its going in.

Kotalik is phenomenal in shootouts. Jokinen was great for us last year as well. Brent Sutter can be a real moron sometimes, that's all.

This. On both counts
iggy's not puttin up "huge" points but hes been damn good on a consistent basis.
and as for loubardious, i used to hate him but i started to get used to him, and he finally grew on me when i met him at the saskatoon preseason game, nicest guy around, went way outta his way, climbed over a rail just to shake my hand and take a pic..
I'm sick of the commentary pronouncing Lydman as "loodman"
man I hate it when they get things right too

He drove me nuts at first, I was a big fan of Roger Millions and had no idea why they basically demoted him. But he has grown on me as well. I love it when he says "Iginla.....Jaaarrrooome Iginla" haha. His nuance's in his commentary really start to grow on you after a while.
not to mention loubardious is good for a few laughs during a terrible game.. i will never forget when he said "ohhh!!! a slapper on the pp(peepee)" last yr, sounds childish but it was hilarious
more convo about how to pronounce Loodman's name then about the game..wake up Calgary...your team put a great effort out the last two games...
Mostly because Lydman was drafted and started his career with the Flames and we still have fans who did not know this about him.
Regardless, our GDT's are never very exciting places. Flames fans on HF just aren't very chatty during the game. Either that or they are doing it on CF.com or at Calgary Puck.
How many coaches have to be fired before we finally realize maybe its not all the coach?
Brent Sutter is an awesome coach, the Flames are lucky to have him and need to hang on to him for as long as they can.
Its not like he has an allstar team to work with, if this team is going to be a top club it needs at least one more proven scorer. I think they're one player away, how they get that player remains to be seen.

Darryl? Is that you?
If that one player is a sports psychologist, then you may be right.
