I'm so excited for both of them to get healthy. They will inject some badly needed stability into the lineup.

I'm so pumped to hear that Vinny is progressing well. I can't wait to see both him and Drury back in the lineup soon (plus we can finally drop some deadweight on the team)

There's a potential silver lining to this, as far as Vinny is concerned. He really wore out over the course of last season. If his knee is back healthy again, he might be able to play the second half of this season the way he played the first half of last.

I'm just worried that people are going to expect him to explode out of the gate. Everyone needs to realize that when he comes back, it will be his first game since last season, and he'll be competing against players who are in mid-season form. It's a lot to catch up on.

Plus he's a 35 year old dude coming off of a bad knee injury.

What would be ideal is if Prospal rounds out into midseason form right around the time the postseason rolls around. He'd be fresh, too, since he only played half a season. And if they get Richards, he'd make for a very solid winger with BR and Gabby, or a great second line option.

Really looking forward to Prospal and his ridiculous grin back in our line-up. The guy's energy rubs off everyone. As does his grin (see dubinsky)

Most of you may be too young to know, but in that last photo he looks a lot like Lloyd Bridges.

Quoted for truth.... I can't wait to see him score his first goal and give the primal scream face...

I'm almost expecting Drury to just chop his finger off and be done with it soon.

Im just hoping both replace the right guys. Erik C and Frolov.

But just a friendly reminder. Vinny Prospal has been dropped by a few teams and has always been known as a streaky scorer meaning he will play and then not show up. Check out his stats. Even last year

Drury has been a tremendous dissapointment

Personally, I'm hoping for:

Move #1 - White to AHL

Move #2 - Trade Frolov for futures (prospect or pick) or Frolov + Gilroy for LD on expiring contract

Move #3 - Christensen/Boogaard to extra forward spot

LWs: Prospal, Dubinsky, Avery, Fedotenko
C: Stepan, Anisimov, Boyle, Drury, Christensen
RW: Gaborik, Callahan, Prust, Boogaard/Extra Center (Boyle/Drury/Christensen)

Ideally I'd like to see...

Prospal-Stepan-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan
Avery-Drury-(Christensen/MZA)
Prust-Boyle-Fedotenko

Does look like one of the more better combination's we could configure.

Of course, Torts changes the lines every 2 shifts, so what's the difference...

Disagree with the 'not showing up'. Even his most vocal critics--including those in the press--have always noted that Prospal keeps trying.

Oh and more than 600 points in 900 games--according to the stats--is pretty decent regardless of streakiness.

I can't wait to see the Prospal grin back either.

I just really hope the knee injury didn't ruin him.

Chris Drury cleared for contact, likely to play Wednesday at Pittsburgh.

I would think so but with Boogie out he likely sticks around till he is healthy enough

kinda tough to mix up the lines after a 7-0 win but it's going to have to be done unless Drury hits the RW with Avery and EC
