Interesting news. Should be good to see how he's developed.

There goes CoolasPrice's proof that the management knows we lack toughness.

Good to see Desharnais come up, he really deserved his shot. Let's hope he makes the best of it. I really don't see him fitting with this team because of his speed, but I hope he can make himself look good because he can be a good trade asset.

Could just be a precaution for tonight because they're so close to Hamilton.

They clearly don't want to split up Pouliot-Eller-Darche. I think DD will get a shot at playing with Cammalleri and Moen

You just know that if he's playing, he'll come with the fire in his eyes. And in emotional games against the Leafs, this might work.

Moen - Desharnais - Cammalleri
Pouliot - Eller - Darche
Boyd - Halpern - Lapierre

(I'd scratch Pyatt for one game, tonight)

His speed is on par with Cammalleri IMHO, they both are pretty slow for midgets. In fact they are similar players, the difference being Cammy's a fantastic shooter and David is a fabulous playmaker. It will be the first time Desharnais will have the chance to play with some legit offensive forwards in league, I bet he'll make the most of it.

Why bring him up if it's to play with pluggers... what's the point?

He's going to have to, because many (myself included) don't think he has the tools to be a big league player. I hate to say one game will make a career, but this will certainly be one of or his last chance with the Habs anyways... I hope for everyone's sake he proves me and the countless others wrong and has a huge game.

Indeed, what is the point? I'm very curious to see what the story behind all this is. If there is no other injury, what is going on here? I'm not good with the whole roster situation--do we need send someone down? Did Gomez have to go on IR to make this move work?

Is he really a long-term Hab? Kinda of reminds me of Corey Locke, who the Habs brought up for a game or two a few years ago and then let go because he was an AHLer.
