Gem is spelled with a "g" and not with a "J".

Also, there is no way Conroy comes back to play with the Kings, EVER!

Yes they have RFA's but still. 3 forwards signed (they also only have 3 D-men signed too). They already have 9mil in cap space so why do they make the trade? More picks and prospects?
ruutu is cool, but would we like him nearly as much if he becomes a soft, perimeter, floating fw? I remember him labeled as "best player not in nhl," etc.....but when he crossed over his impact was pretty minimal, mainly due to injuries. guys with his proneness to be injured only get softer as they age. Sure he'll probably play more games that way, but he'll most likely just be a non-spectacular 20-25 goal winger like a martin straka or anson carter..

Anywhere between 9-18 months before the Stanley Cup does.

You really have no patience whatsoever.

The only one of these guys that has a cup is Hossa who is the best player overall and he turned down LA. None of those other guys will win a cup anytime soon it appears.

Well let the madness officially begin....On HNIC LeBrun brought up Richards, and he said it is widely believed if he became and FA in July his 4 destinations would be NY/Dal/TB/LA.

At least Richards plays in the West and doesn't mind the travel.

The Kings might actually have a better travel schedule than Dallas.

Until AEG/Dean spend to the cap, the Kings will be in the mix for every FA rumor.

Only NY and Dallas make sense. Tampa would have to get rid of Lecavalier first and I doubt they do that. And we're not getting him because...well...it's the Kings.

You used to be humorous but are now just annoying. The problem is you take internet rumor and believe them as fact. Lombardi has a long term plan and will not jeopardize it over one player. I guaranteed he has kicked the tires on many things but nothing has beena good fit. Quit taking Eklund and Barry types as gospal. If you can't hang. Then go away for a few years.

When was the last time you watched him?

He's far from a perimeter floater.

Let me begin by saying that the Kings have expressed NO interest in this and it is entirely speculation.

Further, I don't endorse the idea at all.

This is SOLELY to gauge the interest of the idea in this forum which I am expecting to be a resounding "NO THANK YOU!!!11!!one!!1" but perhaps I am wrong.

Dancing Boy has mentioned that Brian Rolston has been put on waivers. Does it make sense for the Kings to put in a RE-ENTRY waiver claim? Let's ignore for a minute how unlikely it is that Rolston falls to the Kings. I know he has four points in fifteen games this season which is terrible but he was playing on a terrible NJ team. Also, if you endorse the idea please say which player you would sit (Sturm, Smyth, Ponikarovski, or Clifford)

(ducks)

I don't think I'd sit any of those guys for Rolston. I like our roster and bringing Brian Rolston in isn't worth shaking it up for.

I agree and the more I think about it the less I like it. (which was very little to begin with)

Rolston is one of my least favorite players in the league, and that's ignoring his contract.

Here's MY personal pipedream: Daniel Alfredsson. He's still got it and has two more years on a very affordable 4.875 million cap hit. He would be an absolute godsend to this team both in leadership and skill.

Chances are Ottawa stubbornly holds onto him as they relentlessly pursue that #9 spot in the East, but if he is made available at some point we need to be first in line with a lootbag the size of Ken Hitchcock.

You don't want Rolston at 2.5 million. I have to admit I was excited when he signed in 2008. But he more or less ceased to be a top 6 forward upon coming back. Not sure if he left his skating ability in Minnesota, but he's slow and rarely wins 50/50 puck battles. All he has now is his slap shot which is not accurate, and he needs a ton of separation to get off.
