Surprising to say the least... But logical call-up!

Not that I don't like him, but he's not the solution to the offensive struggles...

He's an upgrade from Moen on the 2nd line.

Martin will put him on the 4th line with Pyatt and Lapierre. Moen stays on the 2nd. That's a fact.

Not that I'd be surprised by that, but that would be pointless if that's the case.

He needs to play top 6 minutes. If he doesn't, this is dumb move.

It's going to be more of the same for him from JM, if he doesn't get to play with a centerman that compliments his game. The only viable one available in Montreal is Pleks, and, he is spoken for. Or is he? In Hamilton, Deharnais is feeding him the puck and creating chances for him to suceed. It's a waste of everybodies time if JM relegates him to the checking lines.

As we all know by now, Jm does not work well with rookies. Even Eller is only getting more ice time because of the Gomez injury, and, he is undermining PK as a bonified stud defenceman, as we speak...

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gionta
Cammalleri - Gomez - Kostytsin
Pouliot - Eller - Darche
Moen - Halpern - Lapierre

Maybe Pouliot will get top 6 minutes and Patches will get Eller minutes which should be okay.

Anyone who watched the Dogs will remember how they constantly said no way Max is getting called up anytime soon cuz he's on fire in the AHL and if he's gonna be sent back down, it's counter-productive. He was even the post-game interview. JM was at the game (apparently Max didn't know). Pretty funny how not a few hours later...he gets called up. I guess Spacek will be out, Weber permanent D, Gomez still out, Max in.

Thing about top6 is that we more or less have a top 9 the way JM is using them. Eller/Pouiot/Max is a line that could be used often with Darche/Halpern/Lapierre as the "4th". then again, if Gomez is ok (which I expect him to be after a day-to-day), I'm confused about the lineup.
Just to say, I like the PHD line as well, so some combination of that. I'm neither happy nor upset with the call up. Gotta see what happens first.
