As we all know by now, Jm does not work well with rookies. Even Eller is only getting more ice time because of the Gomez injury, and, he is undermining PK as a bonified stud defenceman, as we speak...
i think they are handling Eller perfectly... they aren't rushing him and he has been progressing a lot since game 1.

PK, i dont know, but its still extremely early to criticize Martin for that... i'm sure in the long run it will benefit him!

uh...what? Please enough with the PK vs Martin thing. He has being playing the last 2 games!!! what exactly is JM doing? He put him on in the dying seconds of the game, was that not showing confidence/hope in him? This "JM ruins rookies" talk (cuz of the PK benching) has gotten way out of hand. Some people saying PK shoulda been benched more, some saying the 3 games killed his career. It's ridiculous. I miss Markov just so there wouldn't be so much freaking focus on PK Subban whether elevating him or being frustrated with him.

Lotta smart people predicted this would happen at some point this season. Guess it was inevitable, the way people rationalize things.

Here's a possibility: Pacioretty comes in and gels really well with Eller, Pouliot, Halpern or even gets into the top6 with Moen then taking on his more conventional role. Whatever happens though, I'm sure it'll mean that Jaques Martin is a horrible coach and/or Max Pac sucks/is being stunted

is it possible we are below the cap floor ? Spacek, Markov, Gomez out = lot of money.

Also , it might just be a christmas gift for maxpac ( couple of $$$$ more )

Blah, find a spot for Desharnais.. cause unless Patches plays with Plekanec, we're hurting his development.

As for the lineup?

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
Patches - Gomez - Gionta
Pouliot - Eller - Darche
Pyatt - Halpern - Moen

Without Gomez, sub him with Halpern who is replaced by Lapierre.

Yep this is what I want, the ATM line needs to stay together and Pacioretty needs to be on a scoring line if he's going to stay up here.

very much yes EXCEPT, I really like Pyatt. Dunno how to solve the puzzle, but it might involve Pyatt/Darche being rotated. We have a good PK (ahem penalty kill) for a reason. Pyatt is a big part of that.

I think Cammy needs to play with Pleky, he doesn't seem to have much chemistry with Gomez.

But JM better give Max a spot on the top 6. Max will stay up here for good if plays solid 2 way game. I hope fans don't expect too much from him too soon, he'll need some time to get some chemistry. this better not be a 2-3 game call up!

Whatever line combos they use they have a couple of practice days. Personally, I like:

CAMMY---PLEKY--AK46
MAX---GOMER--GIO
POULLIOT--ELLER---DARCHE
LAPPY--HALLPERN---MOEN

At first I was like YES ! Then, I was like MERDE, Martin's gonna play him on the 4th line with limited icetime and no one to dish him the puck. Oh well, unless Martin has a flash of genius and plays him with Gomez and Gionta. It might work thought, Pac will have a chance to proove himself, gain experience, then earn top 6 time. Martin can't play Moen on his top 6 all year...

Pros: We get to see Max mutha****ing Pacioretty

Cons: Patches, didn't want this, because we will likely eventually send him down. Although I'm sure he's professional enough not to let it affect his game

Inevitable, Pacioretty leads the AHL in goals, points, and shots.

This may also mean Gomez is still injured and Subban will be benched again. If Martin won't give Pacioretty PP time or top 6 minutes, I'd hope at least we can see Pouliot-Eller-Pacioretty a couple times. If that line manages to click...

I think the fact that he was called up after JM watched the game and all the accolades recently is strictly because he wanted to find a winger for Gomez-Gionta not named Pouliot (who is perfect just where he is, probably up there with Pleks and Eller for most consistently awesome...maybe AK as well). I can't conceive that he would leave Moen in the top 6 and go to Hamilton just to decide whether to insert MP randomly into the bottom 6.

Well that's fast! Just watched the interview with Friedman & the Bulldogs owner after the game on CBC this aft. They were discussing that when Max is called up it will be for good.

Wham! 2 hours later it's done.....Well see....

I don't see how a Pouliot - Eller - Pacioretty line can work as both Pouliot and Pacioretty play LW.

Does anybody know if Pouliot or Pacioretty already played RW in their career?
