you're right about that (cuz he's used to it now), but I don't think we will be sending him down if he gets put in the top 6. I feel like he'll either make it there or be involved in a deal. I think he'll make it.

Martin was at the 'Dogs game today so I wouldn't be surprised if he talked to him about the call-up.

Alexandre Picard - PK Subban

Carey Price

I doubt they play him with Gomez. It would be too much pressure for Pacioretty to have to help Gomez out of his cold streak. I think Patches will play with Plekanec and Kostitsyn, and Gionta will be reunited with Gomez. Martin won't change the Pouliot-Eller-Darche line, and I don't see Pacioretty starting out on the fourth line, so that seems like the best solution to me.

Martin can't play Moen on his top 6 all year...
Does this mean we can start cursing in French and no censor.

Pacioretty making room for G-Love and Gio ... Except with 50 times the offensive aptitude and speed of Moen

I can't see him with anyone except Gio and Gomez and also you'll see Gomer's "cold streak" end. BTW he was starting to heat up again before he got injured. Gionta wasn't able to score with his predictable slapshots from everywhere (which was the ONLY play on that line) and what was Moen doing except taking the bodies out. There will be more variety of attack to that line and in terms of feeding players (i.e. MPac), people forget that while Gomez was not scoring himself, his passing was still very good.

They should also get rid of Picard and call up Nash or Henry.

I'd be very surprise to see JM put the 3 youngsters together...not his style.

And I'b surprise to see Lappy benched as he was one of our best players in the last 2 games..

I'm with the others :
ATM line back together
Patch with The G's
Eller line stays the same
and Moen/Pyatt-Halpern-Lappy
(I know it won't be the most popular idea but I'd consider benching Moen because of Pyatt's play on the Pk. I'd be surprise if it happens though)

On D I'd put PK with Hammer and Werber with Picard...

Agreed. The accolades Picard gets around here have always been a bit of a mystery to me. His mobility and defensive positioning are ok but I find him very soft with the puck for an NHL defenseman.

That was my first thought when I saw this thread.. Hopefully he plays with some offensive players instead of on the 4th playing 4 or 5 minutes a night..

This. Put the Americans together, plus Pactches adds much needed size to that line. I'd roll with:

Kosty-Pleks-Cammy
Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta
Moen-Eller-Pouliot
Darche-Halpern-Lapierre

Please do not pair Pax with Gomez.
Eller should be the best fit, closely followed by Plek.

a half MaxPac > Moen.

Hopefully Max-Eller-Puoliot would be pretty dynamite though. Just hope that he gets top 6 minutes.

I would have left him down, since he's stated on numerous occasions that he feels the longer he stays in Hamilton, the better prepared he'll be for the NHL (he said that again earlier today in an interview on CBC).

But I'm excited to see how he'll do. If he's only going to get 8-10 minutes a game I'm hoping they send him down after 2-3 games.

What part of "I'd like to spend the rest of the season here" doesn't the team understand ?

Everyone knows Martin will use him on the 4th line with Lapierre and Pyatt FFS

This is good news... he will add some freshness and much-needed jump to the line-up.

There is now a reason to watch Wednesday's game.

That was said at the beginning of the year before he was AHL player of the month. He's gained confidence and I'm sure is itching to play in the NHL.

Unless he's going to get top 6 minutes, I want him back in Hamilton after 2-3 games.

Cammalleri Desharnais Pacioretty. Could have been good...

I'm not suprised by the call up.. Moen is not the solution to score goals and Martin watched the game today in Hamilton.

Max even said after the game that Desharnais is very good at finding him and everyone else on the ice. I saw the game on CBC today and Desharnais did create a lot of chances on top of getting assists.

Why ? So Martin and his infinite stupidity can bench him after he doesn't deke around the entire team and score a highlight reel goal ?
