Boogaard's Shoulder "Not Good"

http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey...4?showAll=true

Quote:
On to the injury front: Derek Boogaard (right shoulder sprain from fight with Matt Carkner) stayed home. "His shoulder's pretty sore, he won;t even be in the building, it's not a day to day thing, it's recurring."
http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/r...right_back_in/

Quote:
In other Rangers’ news: Tortorella said Derek Boogaard’s shoulder injury is more than a day-to-day thing but there’s no exact timetable on the enforcer’s absence;

What ever will we do without Boogard's guarenteeed 20 goals.

Oh the season is officially over

We should get that Kovalchuk fella to fill the offensive void left by Boogard

Hahaha!

Maybe that's why the team lost last night, they didn't have their Boogaard Swag.

And we're 12-11-1 with Lundqvist in net.

While we're 5-2 with Biron.

What does that say......

whatever. Although this does mean White is sticking around longer for the record. Drury should be back next game I would think. At that point I would move EC in between Boyle and Prust but that's just me

Boogyman has the hardest job in NHL and many NYR fans endlessly shat on him left and right and above. He may not have a lick of skill but a little appreciation for him would be a nice change for once. Would any of you stand there and trade punches with other huge guys?

I'm not saying what he does isn't hard, but this is like asking if I'd be willing to go out and block Ray Lewis, it's not like he's Petr Prucha out there fighting these guys either.

And regardless, I'm just of the opinion that whether Boogaard's in the lineup or not matters very little in the end, which is all I meant.

I hate this endless griping... We Ranger fans are never happy unless we're whining about something. Boogaard hasn't been that bad. He seems to be a good teammate & he really hasn't hurt the team on the ice at all.

I admit I questioned the length of his contract, but he really doesn't make that much. I don't believe it would make much difference recordwise if we had another 4th liner like a PA Parenteau, Dane Byers or Tim Kennedy on the roster instead. Personally, I'd rather have Boogey.

I guess no more opposing our own will, playing the body, or playing a hard gritty style as a team, all of which was only possible with the services of derek boogaard in the lineup.

Prepare to have all of our stars run every shift. All our players will shy away from physical play. It'll be a disaster of epic proportions.

You probably wouldn't even notice if no one told you he was gone.
