Stefan Della Rovere and Dave Scatchard have been assigned to Peoria.
I find myself disappointed/intrigued as to why SDR was sent back down. I think the kid looked great in the games he played. I didn't get to watch the game last night however. He even brought an offensive side out of Janssen. Can anyone enlighten me?
Are they doing this to save money, and will bring them back before the next game?
Otherwise, McDonald/Perron are coming back.
Perron hasn't even resumed skating so theres no way he would be in game shape before the next game. Andy Mac COULD be, I guess, if he were already over his concussion symptoms (they can't predict that he will stop feeling symptoms within a few days so you can't plan ahead for this).
I assume that Porter will stay up (recall waivers assured), and Della Rovere will be brought back up, and Scatchard will remain in Peoria. If McDonald returns, Della Rovere will probably still be brought up. The only difference will be that Janssen will return to his 3-4 min per game when he plays, and Della Rovere will be scratched if Janssen plays. But, against Detroit, Janssen may not play if McDonald returns, as Detroit doesn't have a bruiser to keep under control.
Exactly. I don't really see the confusion here. The Blues don't play again until Wed so they might as well pay these guys their AHL salaries for a few days instead of their NHL salaries. Those two, or two others, will obviously be recalled by Wednesday's game. If any of the injured forwards were even close to returning, we would've heard about it so it's definitely not that.
