You CERTAINLY have the goalie for 1.1. Your offense and defense could use a bit of improvement, but I think you would be competitive in 1.1 right now at least.

Bathory is NO Touzin, imo.

The checking+hitting difference between the two is palpable. Not to mention I would have 0 chance of retaining Bathory next season with his 81 AVG; whereas, I had a decent chance to hold onto Touzin with his 78 AVG.

At this point I mine as well just sit with my 7M for a few days and see what the FA market has after computer teams cut players anyway. Worst case scenario, I wait 3-4 weeks and Bathory's initial asking price drops 1-2M (it is 5% a week for 12 weeks, right?)

I do have a trade out that I have a sinking feeling will be accepted:

I get: http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=471194
I give: http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=650332

He was asking for LW's in his trade list, and he even gains a year+ of youth in the deal.

My goalie is one of the top 2 in 3.2, but his routing is <25 currently, so stacking my defense even more than it already is seems like a good investment. Not to mention my new 4th line FA LW has scored 6 goals in 6 games (all ES on the 3rd line) while filling in for injuries, so he may not deserve a demotion at this point.

I saw him, and thought about it. The ridiculously low deking makes me laugh.

I bet he ends up being terrible, can't get the puck out of his own zone and it teaches us a lesson about devaluing dmen with deking.

Then, in a 5-3 situation, both of the other players are thrown out of the face-off circle and he gets beat on a deke by face-off move (like in NHL '11) and the guy scores on a breakaway to win the finals... in OT.

Or not. Looks like a real solid pickup.

Luis Mendoza, is that you?

edit: wait, he was the one who couldn't stop. Who was it that couldn't handle the puck? I'm letting myself down here.

He's also a bit expensive but would be great on a dump and chase line that wasn't expected to be at a PPG pace.
yea that is what I want to do I want somebody to bite on him for a true first line LW or C even if I take on a couple years. I am in 3.3 now and so far he is averaging .5ppg.

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=645199 side note the Rapist is doing his thing.

Alright guys some help regarding Hernandez. http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=703524

I want to trade him for a true first liner offensively because I am lacking a true offensive threat. Some players I am thinking about offering him for. I need to know if you guys would offer Hernandez for any of these players.

Once I get Miler in and Bolden back, I'm gonna shake **** up and see what kind of line pairings I can make... then try to find a real defensive C somewhere... and put Quilter on the trade block.

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=358790

Also, what would you guys do with this dude? He's young, not really cheap, and defensively stout, but his poor passing has him playing on my 4th line right now...

Question guys, is it in bad taste to trick new coaches into bad trades?

If so...

So I am thinking about moving the Rapist for another goalie if somebody bites. http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=645199

Goalies I am looking at.

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=783463

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=645664

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=783505

Should I offer him up for all of them? Are they all better than the rapist.

Also thinking about offering Hernandez for this guy http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=646996

Yeah, one of my FA's was hurt, ready to go again but sitting at 58 fitness. Was counting on getting him back in the lineup.

So I recieved the WORST trade I have ever seen in this game. It was a 20 something year old winger, fully bloomed with a 62 EPA for my 28 year old winger with a 78 EPA.

The offer was SO bad that I felt the need to PM the coach to politely ask him to stop trying to trade **** people, as it is bad for the game.

He responds: "newb? go listen to your nascar. and juste refuse the trade."

This begs the question... is that the worst insult you have ever heard? Go listen to your nascar? I assume because I am American and he is Canadian he thinks I am a red neck.

Edit. My response:

"Did you just equate me being an American with me being a red neck?

Should I assume you drink Labatt Blue and sodomize forest creatures, all while saying "eh?" at the end of every sentence because you are Canadian?"

His coach's name is John Lajoie if anyone wants in on the fun.
