You've made us all hesitant. Everytime we post something, you post the same thing one second earlier.

Fixed it for you.

Seriously, congrats to Clowe. Two points in four straight games is very difficult to do in the NHL. And even when he isn't scoring, he's been arguably the best player on the Sharks this season.

Seeing as how players like Todd White can have 70+ point seasons, why not...

I won't say his name because I don't want to jinx it

big congrats to crabby, he has been playing out of his mind lately and one of the few sharks that have been playing with some consistency. Glad to see him getting some recognition for his hard work as well, i feel as he has been a bit underrated going into this season.

Neely was just a precursor to Clowe.

You would trade him because he is the most trade able asset on the team.

His contract is sizeable.. which would free up the space to land a top 2 d-man.

He is signed through the 12/13 season which would be appealing to a team giving up an asset for him.

He is playing very well right now and garnering national attention which is upping his value. He is also tough and gritty which makes him very attractive.

I also think we can get along fine without him. The value of a top tier defenseman on the team would make up for the lack of Ryane Clowe. You gotta give value to get value, and I think our prospect/pick pool needs to be largely untouched. Any of the players in the system worth anything in a trade are the players we will come to rely on in a short amount of time.. no one will want spare parts for their valuable asset.

Ok, my argument was Seto as a better trade option for those exact reasons. Previous to this terrible season of his of course.

With Demers proving to be a legit top 4 so far I would not even think about trading Clowe for one.

A top 4 of Murray-Boyle and Vlasic-Demers is fine

Murray has no business in the top pairing come playoff time. He was exploited these last playoffs and he will be exploited again. He should not be getting so many minutes.

We also need someone to munch some of the ice time and give Boyle a break. He ran out of gas last year and looks like he is already worn thin so far this year. With the team in the middle of the pack at this point, there is no playoff guarantee. Since there is no playoff guarantee we don't have the liberty of fooling around with W call-ups. Each win is crucial.

Back on point. CLOWE IS A BEAST! YAAAAH!
