Armia has very close to a complete package. He is the kind of guy who, even as a bust, could be an effective 3rd line player.
Rink adjustment is not an issue, because he plays in the Finnish league amongst men and has done very well as a 17 year old there. Now it isnt on the level of the KHL or the SEL, but all pro scouts point towards this guy as a climber.
He protects the puck well, has a decent set of hands, ect. Another guy who looks like a potential 30 goal scorer.
Saad I think could be better than 30-30-60. But i'm no pro scout so, just my .02
like armia alot. power and finesse both.
his skating isnt great. hes fast but kinda plodding first few steps. that can get better.
LOL ya think? I have spoken to fitzy and a few others about this kid since he was 14
Didn't he have like 79 goals in 30 games in AAA? Kid is good, looks like a Marc Savard out there, was hoping he'd fly under the radar, but like Johansen last year his stock is gonna keep rising.
But don't get excited, I've been told this draft is terrible
our first plus a 2nd plus one of hagelin, werek, bourque, horak, grachev, thomas, etc. and valentenko for a top 4 pick??? That might even be redundant but it would only be getting rid of some organizational redundancy
That's not going to get a Top-4 pick, probably not even a Top-10. If you're moving up to the Top-4 from 17-22 area, you'll need to give 2 1st and at least 1 2nd round pick. To get to the Top-10 from 17-22, it'll probably take a 1st, 2nd this year and a 2nd next year and a mid-level prospect.
Grachev, Bourque, Thomas are RWs, in an organization lacking RW depth at the NHL level, they're not going to deal prospects who are close towards the pros for a chance at a RW prospect. That being said, none of the Top-4 teams in the draft are going to pass up Landeskog, Nugent-Hopkins, Couturier, or Larsson.
And yet he found a way to get 21 pints in his last 8 games
Yeah if he was bigger they'd be saying RYan-Nugent who?
Seriously, is he that much smaller than say Strome or Rieder?
I am shocked that RNH is as highly regarded as he is. I've seen him play a few times now and have never come away overly impressed with him. I'm not a huge Saad fan, either, but I'd take him over RNH right now.

ive seen hamilton a few times in person. big dude.
lessio ive known about for a few years.
will see alex in person next month.
thoughts ?
lucas lessio F oshawa
alexander khokhlachev F windsor
dougie hamilton D niagara
I don't like Lessio at all
Have only seen Alex once in person, didn't notice him at all really.
Hamilton I like alot, he definately is a big guy like you said. Strong defensively, good skater, the only offense I've seen from him comes on the PP, but he plays it well.
Really like Strome aswell, probably won't have a chance at him though...

I think I am going to try and catch the game at RPI this Sunday. I am coming back from school to Albnay so hopefully I can make it back in time to catch the game and give a long report on Bourque and Kreider and possibly some of the younger players who are draft-eligible. I just hope they play Kreider and Bourque.

If you have a report for us on Bourque and Kreider, please post it in the Rangers Prospects Thread. People love hearing about it over there. As evidenced by the uproar when non-Rangers prospects were introduced to the discussion.
