Wow, talk about a tough schedule, we go from beating the league leaders, to facing division leaders in MTL. The schedule certainly sucks at times for the flyers. Going to be an incredible effort tonight to even get a point out of this game. It was essentially play-off hockey last night
Me too, granted Leighton played well in the playoffs, I wouldn't want to put him up against the Habs as his first game back. Start Bob. If anything, put Leighton in as a backup and rest Bouch after a great effort last night.
i'd pay andrej 4 mil before paying hot carle 3.5 mil if it was left up to me. hell, i think he's been a better value than coburn too thus far.
anyway, let's silence the montreal crowd early and never turn back tonight
Mezaros is definitely better than Carle. It was still a risky trade though, since Meszaros sucked in Tampa, but it has worked out so far.
Mez only had 17 points in 81 games last year, and was -14, and that was with a good bit of PP time and such. He already 11 points this year. He also only has 8 PIMs so far which is awesome for a physical D like him
For the same reason Comcast hires dumb blonds to cover sports. They think people actually care about the sixers. They're morons.
The number of Sixers fans is probably roughly equivalent with the number of Flyers fans. The difference between the two fan bases is that Flyers fans are generally middle to upper class and Sixers fans are generally lower to middle class.
Thus, when the Flyers are home I wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers get a better TV rating because the Flyers fans can afford to sell out the Wach (even when they are bad, like 06'-07').
That being said, it makes ZERO sense tonight since the Flyers are away from a ratings standpoint. The only thing I can think of is that they are trying to draw the wealthier Flyers fans away from their satellite TV and FIOS back to Xfinity by foregoing them HD.
