Good! Now if we can say the same for Mario Tremblay, RDS could very well be 90% fixed for next year!
Seriously, Brunet is somewhat annoying, but worse is to have the man 33-to-45% responsible for throwing the Habs in the dark ages for almost one full decade (and there wasn't JUST the Roy incident of '96) shoved on the TV screen, butchering my language further and being 80% wrong all the time.
Not that I haven't forgiven Tremblay, I mean it's been almost 15 years. But I sure did not ask anyone to force him down our throats by putting him on freakin' RDS, worst yet, covering Habs games!
Anyway, getting a little offtopic here, so to come back to Brunet: if Bouchard takes the job, that's an improvement over both previous analysts in my opinion. The only con here is we'll lose him on other spots he's good at (intermission analysis, for instance).
I'm surprised RDS never approached Stéphane Quintal. I know the guy's actually been through some elocution & etiquette courses of some sort... an asset for anyone who's going to be on television. Then again on RDS hearing "esspiquer" instead of "expliquer" ("esspain" instead of "explain"), "Camélarrie" instead of "Cammalleri" or "Tray - visse" instead of "Travis" (new one, by the way) is a common thing. Oh well.
