Hbo 24/7

Did anyone else see the HBO 24/7 first episode? I ordered HBO yesterday specifically to watch this show.
I like how somber the music and tone were when the Capitals were featured. They look pathetic on the ice and in the dressing room.

I did not like how freaking happy and cocky the Penguins were, although it was tempered by my knowledge that the Philly butt-kicking is right around the corner, possibly on episode two.

Thoughts?

Only thought was that it was hilarious when they had a close up interview with Boudreau and he had barbecue sauce on his face.

Boudreau looked pretty bad as a coach too

Problem: On a losing streak
Solution: Drop as many F-bombs as possible

if the NHL is smart, they will try and get HBO to do something like this every season. 2 new teams every year

Perhaps the two teams in the Winter Classic

Actually I would love a Stanley Cup 24/7.

I can't wait until next week's episode to see the win streak come crashing down. Pascal Dupuis has a skin condition on his face I think.

And Boudreau does look like an idiot.

Also, for those people who watch Tosh.0, the first game where Blysma announces the starters and everyone in the room makes noises reminded me of the Daniel Tosh Turkey video:

I posted this in the Misc. NHL Discussion thread. It's not verbatim, but it was definitely my favourtie sound byte from the episode:

Ovi: Was there blood?

Ref: Yeah, he hit him here (points to his own neck). ****in' blood all over.

Ovi: Well, he must have sensitive skin, right?

they would never do it for the teams in the SCF

for one thing, they don't know which 2 teams will be in the finals and for another thing, teams would never let the media that close to them during the playoffs

I cracked up at that, too. I really enjoyed watching the whole thing. Listening to Bruce Boudreau speak to his players at length makes the Caps postseason struggles that much more understandable. The guy is a grade A moron. Tells his team not get flustered and quit, then he gets flustered and quits.

Boudreau makes me grateful for Lavi.

Gotta say, I like the way Bylsma operates. I know its easy to look smart and confident while winning, but he seems like an even keeled guy thats comfortable communicating with all of his players. Not sure why so many Pens fans were hating on him so much last year and the beginning of this year.

Looking forward to part 2. When the subject matter interests me, HBO usually has phenomenal sports programs and this didn't disappoint.

Going to watch it later tonight, but from what I heard, Boudreau takes the concept of Cluster F Bomb to the next level.

LOL@ this tweet from Buccigross

Buccigross And finally, Caps coach Bruce Boudreau proved on HBO's 24/7 that ****** is a five tool player- Noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, and adjective.

If by two new teams every year you mean two new teams every other year, then the Penguins, then two new teams, then the Penguins. Just like the Winter Classic. I know non-hockey fans will tune in to watch the Princess in action, but it is very annoying to me to keep having him shoved in my face.

Crosby is a lame ass, but the guy is obscenely talented and is clearly an attention getter. It makes perfect sense why they put him out there as much as they do. I almost spit up my beer last night watching this when they reminded us that he's only 23. **** me. How is that ******* only 23??? We've got at least another decade and a half of Crosby... ****

They didn't put it on demand yet. Comcast is so slow.

I also enjoyed the banter preceding the first Engelland fight:

"**** you"

"No, **** you"

"**** you, let's go"

"**** you"

"**** you"

And then they fight...
