It reads like George Lucas explaining why we need another new version of Eps 4-6.

THN: How far along is this rebuild and when is it realistic to expect to see some results and some playoff appearances?

GS: Obviously, we’d rather have it be sooner than later. We’re trying to develop our players as quickly as possible. We’re going to do it the right way, there won’t be any quick fixes. We don’t want to compromise our goals. We have to make the right draft picks, develop those draft picks and stick with the right free agents.
In other words, Garth has no actual plan or time table. His "plan" consists of as many high draft selections as possible, then hope that they all pan out.

When it comes to building a successful hockey team, I think Snow just doesn't know what he's doing.

AND he's covering for an owner who also doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to hiring a competent GM and EMPOWERING them to make hockey decisions, regardless of budget.

Suffering players.
Suffering fans.
Lotsa losses.

For how long? Let's wait and see.

This interview proves that Garth is never going to give real answers to any of the questions he's asked.

He's putting himself out in front of the press to save face from the negative backlash from what happened with Botta, but he isn't saying anything.

Don't you think he has to be at least a LITTLE perturbed by the fact that his team has won once in the last twenty games?

This has been the norm for quite some time now.

Would any other owner in hockey ever hire Snow for anything, seeing how bad he makes HIMSELF look?! It's not just the state of the team or the crazy owner - but these NON-ANSWERS or just ridiculous comments about "playoffs" and "we're doing things the right way" and "I get goosebumps" just make him look like a complete fool.

same typical fluff interview with one softball question after another. Shame on the Hockey News. If there was any media source that could have forced him to answer tough questions, I would think it would be THN. There is no way Snow could bar them from covering the team.

Once again, I ask why does everyone seem so intimidated by this clueless bum of a backup goalie, yet they have no problem beating down Brian Burke's door with tough questions.

This is the PR machine working now. Garth is feeling the pressure and needs to appear in the media, something he would never do otherwise.

But why can't any of these reporters ask the really tough questions that Isles fans want some answers to? This is just more of the same crap that he's been feeding us for a while now.

I am fully convinced Rick Dipietro runs the locker room and its all Rick and Charles Wang. Garth is there for the paycheck. We are the Pittsburgh Pirates / LA Clippers of the NHL. We will keep drafting players year after year after year and trade them away for more draft picks.

I actually believe the Isles have the right blueprint...The problem is the actual builders.

Yeah, but I thought maybe he'd learn from his mistakes. I guess he didn't.

Snowjob keeps saying he wants to build this the right way. I don't get it? Is his idea of the right way to keep losing and drafting early in the draft and then promoting them without any veteran help to watch them flame out? I wish he would just come out and say what he means by the right way because I do not see his plan. Why can't the right way be like so many other teams have done it with a veteran coach, an expierenced GM and with a few good veteran leadership?

Typical Garbage.
"We’re definitely a team that has a lot of great things on the horizon"

- What else can he say, obviously the current horizon isn't rosie.

"As for Scott, (firing him) was one of the hardest things I’ve done in this position. Scott is an excellent coach. He was the right coach at the right time for a young team the past couple of years."

- Then why fire him??

Re Josh Bailey "there’s an opportunity for him to go there in Bridgeport and be the best he can be at that level and get his confidence back"

- Should never have been with the team. He belonged in Junior on a winning team
and then should have made his way to the AHL. Wrong move and this is not me being Monday morning QB, I said it all along

Typical junk he is constantly shoveling. He has basically done nothing to
make this team better. He's been blessed by coming in after Milbury who
failed miserably and could do no wrong with the Fans but now everyone is seeing
that the plan is not moving at a reasonable pace.

(facepalm)

I want to know where the interview is with Wang.

Better yet...

Where is the town hall meeting with Wang and Wang only. The only thing I root for more than that is that meeting...With no metal detectors.

He's pulling the straws from his own argument when he uses Wang's off-ice amenities upgrade as proof that Wang is financially committed to this team.

Seriously, what does that have to do with the on-ice product beyond some limbered up backs courtesy of the snazzy jacuzzis.

Clearly Snow can not determine the difference between physical and mental (maturity).
The master of "say nothing" has spoken.
