I think your controversy-o-meter is too low. After 3 losses in a row (including a game vs #1 in the East and one vs #1 in the West in competitive games), we now hear that Martin (who was a candidate for trophy last week) is bad, out-dated, doesn't know how to handle rookies, etc. while PK might be better off spending a bit of time in Hamilton. If we lose tonight we might start to look at trading Plekanec and Price while their value is high...

As for tonight, Go Habs Go! I better not hear any nice comment about this game tomorrow morning at the radio in Boston, I want to hear them rage on their team!

I'll reiterate what I said in the now-defunct thread, which is that last night's loss had loads of positives. We took it to the Flyers in the offensive zone for more than 1/3 of the game, particularly in the second half. Our mistakes cost us, but in the span of a week, even though we have lost three in a row, we have hung with the Red Wings and Flyers, and at times made them look bad defensively.

Not that I don't have my concerns, but in the same way that I'm negative after the occasional illusory win, I'm positive after this loss.

But just please oh please bloody win tonight.

3-0 Bruins... After the game HF will implode due to the Habs having a 4 game losing streak and heading out on a tough 7 game road trip..

Come on man. If you're from the Boston area you should already know that the radio folks don't talk about hockey, period.

Wouldn't we wanna do the opposite? Inflate his stats. GA from 0.98 to 4.96.

? Felger talks about it quite a bit (whines and moans most of the time, but oh well not much different from a whole bunch of people in Montreal), and they have Thornton and Ciarelli in interviews regularly every week (I love Thornton's interviews). Definitely not hearing as much about it currently as I would like to mostly because Pats and Celts are owning the league and Red Sox just decided to make 2 blockbuster signing, but I don't feel that the coverage is that bad considering there's 4 major teams that all actually do well in the city.

I actually expected the coverage to be worse than that when I moved here 2.5 years ago, but I've been pretty happy overall. Might have been a lot worse in the years before when the Bruins had a losing team, but I wasn't there to compare.

Hearing the "Ole ole ole" and "Bleu Blanc Rouge" song during the playoffs last year on the Boston radio because they wished for Montreal to go past the Pens so they wouldn't have to face them is still one of my favorite radio moment ever Especially with the irony afterwards and how they said they jinxed it, etc...

One thing though is that I feel many don't know much about what they're talking about, more so than in Montreal. When they were asking last year to trade Toronto's pick for Kovalchuk for the end of the season I was really thinking "are you freaking insane?!".

How many goals do we need for that? I don't want to bother with looking up numbers and doing maths, but something like 75 goals tonight would sure help our offensive stats too. I'm sure Cammalleri would feel better about himself if he could bury 15 in tonight.
