Remember the season the Habs finished 8th and were wiped out inthe first round? That's all behind us and the Habs have resumed feasting on ursine meat. It would be virtually impossible for the the Bruins to have won the 2 games against the Habs. it's their bad karma.

OT: Can Ron Fournier stop singing Pacioretty pacioretty on CKAC holy hell.

/endOT

Man great game. Pacioretty is litteraly taking hits to make plays and hitting people to make plays. Really great mindset plus he uses well his body size. Not necessarily killing someone but using his size to impose himself infront and gain puck possesion.

On Gionta's goal. Look at his head-up play. He fakes the pass to the D , that made SAVARD Bite and have a clear lane to the net making him see his options wayy better.

omg we have a D who gives open ice hit! Subban is god.

I wasn't a fan of Pacciorrety , but he's playing so good that I felt in love with him....Finally we found THE big winger we were looking for.

Subban
Pacciorrety
Eller
Price

We are set for the next 10 years for all position.

Well, don't act like the grass is greener over here.

Bell Centre crowd often (if not all the time) boos the American anthem, yet our captain IS AMERICAN.

They were cheering USA because well... isn't Boston in the US? In the World Cup/Olympics, I'd understand your point, but we're in a professional league; a player's origin has no importance whatsoever; only his allegiance to the team/city matters.

Anyone else get nervous everytime Picard or Spacek has the puck on their stick? Reminds me of that sick feeling whenever MAB or Brisebois had the puck for too long.

Not fair. Just keep in ming that Pacioretty was a first round draft choice while Pyatt was a throw-in in a trade.

Yeah I know, but like an eclipse, it does occasionally happen.

I don't remember the Bell Center boo the American anthem since we've had an American Captain (new nickname propose for Gionta: Cap America)

I created a thread at the begin of the season saying that I thought the 1st place in the NE division was open, I was not impressed with the Bruins saying they had a slow D core, what I still think.. I thought the Sabres would struggle losing some quality defensemen, I thought the Leafs would be better though with the add of Versteeg Armstrong and McArthur.. . Well it looks like I wasnt too beside the track.. Habs are actually 1st in the division, just won an important game against the Bruins, it looks good..

I know this will cause a rain of ***** to come down on my head, but I have to wonder if there's some kind of subconscious racism going on here. It's like they're disposed to dislike him no matter what he does. I'm sick and tired of hearing comments like, "Well he has a lot of skill, BUT..." Over the years, I've seen a lot of stars come and go, but this situation is quite new to me.
Players on the Bruins that PK is allowed to fight are Bergeron and Savard and Marchand (for obvious reasons). None of the tin cans on the 3rd or 4th line get a sniff and Lucic is off limits as he would kill PK and since he ducked BGL for 1 and a half years, he can GTFO.

I still don't get why players have to fight after a clean hit. When Stevens (in no way am I comparing PK with him)would lay people out with a hit, there wasn't the obligatory fight afterwards.

It has only been two games, but I like how Pacioretty is looking. He may be just what we need to fill some a gap in our top 6. I think we have to start looking for a top 4 dman.

Good win for Montreal.

I was worried that the habs legs would tire out given the b2b situation and the torrid pace that they started with. It did look like the habs slowed down a little bit in the 3rd, but they did enough while the legs were still there to hang on.

The open ice hit by Subban was absolutely beautiful. I think this will be used by the NHL again and again as a reference point on how to deliver big hits without resorting to head shots. It reminded me a little bit of rob blake except he would use his rump along with the boards to deliver the hits.

Like others have mentioned, it did feel like a playoff atmosphere. Its been a nice stretch recently in terms of playoff atmosphere as I felt the same way in games against detroit and philly.

If not for Thomas though, this game would be over by the first period or early 2nd.

Would you really call that a win for Cammy? Krejci got some nice punches in there.

Considering the size difference, and the fact that Cammy got the takedown, I'd say he won.
