why was the pouliot- eller - darche line broken up? They were our most dangerous line for a while.

the explanation given by martin was to create 4 lines of balance to counteract with philly's 4 line attack. Personally, I think it was a message for akost to get going.

Both the Habs and the Bruins have to be careful not have long losing streaks. They're both perilously close to the cutoff line for finishing in the playoffs. Several outsides have gained on them, including the Rangers, Thrashers, and Lghtning. On the other hand, the Islanders, Maple Leafs, Panthers, Sabres, Devils, Senators, and Hurricanes have a long (but not impossible) climb to eighth place. The Habs could lose ground on their seven-game road trip. I think Max Pacioretty's arrival couldn't have been more timely. It's fortunate the Habs have two days off after their spate of back-to-back games this past week,

It's interesting that the Bruins haven't been able to win many games behind Uukka Tuuka Raskolnikov. They were riding on his last season and their fans were impatient to trade Thomas. If Chiareli had bone so the Bruins would probably bes nestled among the Sanatorsa and Hurricanes.

Gorges - Subban
Hamrlik - Spacek
Gill - Weber

Price

Scratched: Picard, Pyatt
I just love your line up, top to bottom. Having Picard out is the icing on the cake... PK will be better with a veteran defenseman who can hold his own, as will Weber.

Poor Islanders, what a mediocre franchise they have become.. They had the chance to select Duchesne 1st overall, they rather opted for Spezza no.2...

Send a message via MSN to Fel 96
So, Avs won tonight's game in OT with this nice goal by Duchene.

Also, epic goal celebration

Just an info for the opposite team.

i don't think andrei had much to do with it. Within 10 minutes he was back on the top line and eller was still playing with lapierre. There's only so much you can expect the kid to do when he's playing with scrubs.

Nah, no need. If you are gonna play the mob angle, just say that Gomez is Gionta/Paccioreti's Columbian druglord connection. I mean, if you gonna go anti-PC, go all out.

here is a thought: if Martin is willing to put Moen on the 1st line, why not put Darche instead. His skill level is equivalent to Moen's but he crashes the net and is intelligent enough on the ice that Martin gives him time on the 2nd pp unit. Also, our 3rd line becomes more dangerous (when Andrei decides to switch on his brain).

Darche-Plekanec-Cammalleri
Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta
Kostitsyn-Eller-Pouliot
Moen-Halpern-Lapierre

scratch:pyatt

Okay so here is the plan to score easy goals against Colorado.

1) We must take a penalty during O'Byrne shift.
2) We must not touch the puck.
3) When O'Byrne has the puck, we check him with 2 players.
4) As a result, O'Byrne will score in his own empty net .

NB: Repeat 1 to 4 if necessary.

Avs are riding a hot streak currently, so hopefully we can put an end to it. They certainly are beatable. Hopefully just Price plays well and the current top 6 of ours will do the rest

But they're also 27th in the league (4th worst) for goals against.

Is Chris Stewart on the line-up for the Avs? He wasn't against Ottawa.

Good offensive d-men squad, but now Hannan is gone, which left Foot, O'Byrne and Wilson as true stay-at-home d-men (without Hunwick who's horrible). Shattenkirk, Liles are the most dangerous on the blue line. Be careful of Fleischman too who's hot right now.

Am I the only Habs fan that hates the Avs? They are directly responsible for the Canadiens falling into relative irrelevance...they stole our most fun rivalry and they stole our goalie, it's amazing how the city was basically handed a Stanley Cup winning hockey team and now they can't even fill to 80% capacity.

Duchene is so good.

I watched him closely yesterday.

Good speed, sick hands.

Duchene has been fantastic lately and he can dance too!!! Speaking, of fantastic, how about this guy - 18GP +13 TOI 19:53 6'5'' 234 lb. - can fight too (see Denver Post article for details)!!!
Both of these guys would look good in a Habs lineup. Not to mention David Jones, Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan O' Reilly and a few others. One can dream but that is about it!!!
