Bauer Vapor XXII vs X:20

Sorry if this has been asked on here before, I'd be surprised if it hasn't.Nonetheless,I've been told there isn't really much difference between the two skates just price. I have always worn bauer and would like to stick with them. I'm still wearing my bauer air 90's and might be looking to finally upgrade to vapor's. I also like a soft boot instead of rock hard skates.

Should i even bother looking at bauer supreme, or is vapor the way to go? Thanks in advance.

The Vapor XXII was the old model for the current X:30. It should be a better skate, although I'm not sure how big a difference it would be. The XXV/X:40 skate is a nice step up but it's probably a good deal more money.

The fit between the Vapor and Supreme series is quite different with the Vapor a bit of a narrow skate all the way across and the Supreme has a narrow heel and wider forefoot. Not very familiar with the Air 90 but I think the Supreme is a closer fit with the One60 being the equivalent to the X:30 and XXII.

supreme fits wider, go with the line that fits your foot best. not much difference from xxii vs x20 so go with whatever is cheaper. xvi is similar to the xxii so you might be able to find a better deal by going xvi instead or if you can find a xxv in your size go with that instead.

When I was getting my new skates last year the guy at the LHS told me to go with the
X30. He said that is was a good mid level skate and that I really should not go lower than that in the Vapor Series.

x30 and x20 are actually very similar skates. only difference are the footbed and holders. for the price difference, i would go x20 + superfeet.

The vapors should be tight at the forefoot but looser than the supreme at the ankle/heel, allowing for extra ankle movement
