The reason that I chose Eager over Carter is because the team already has scorers, I'm not sure how he would handle limited ice time. I wrestled between him and Spezza. I thought that Eager would be more of a true 4th line guy.
As far as Duchene, Ward, Ribiero and Schenn yes I agree that they could be on thier respected teams. (That's why I started this discusssion.)
Any opinions on who would replace Pronger and Brodeur?
Derek Roy and Claude Giroux would push for spots on Ontario.

The players in bold are not from Quebec, but you could substitute Dan Cleary for Jason Pominville and make Canada East.

Other considerations in 3 years could be:
Forward - Derek Brassard, Teddy Purcell, Torrey Mitchell, Sean Couturier, Jordan Caron, Patrice Cormier, Logan MacMillan, Luke Adam, James Sheppard
Defence - Brandon Gormley, Simon Despres, Charles-Olivier Roussel, David Savard, Yann Sauve, Adam Pardy, Adam McQuaid
Because he's from an Atlantic province, and apparently players from that region are being lumped into Team Q. As others have said if that's the case it should just be renamed Canada East

The Atlantic Canada Team
Ryan Clowe - Sidney Crosby - Teddy Purcell
Steve Ott - Brad Richards - Dan Cleary
James Sheppard - Sean Couturier - Luke Adam
Jon Sim - Brad Marchand - Patrice Cormier
Colin White - Randy Jones
Adam Pardy - Adam McQuaid
Brandom Gormley - Nathan McIver

It's where they played their junior hockey isn't it?

it's a fun exercise but in the real world it would feed regionalism and separatism and be self destructive rather than nation building. not so fun.
one team, one country.
What about in a tournament like the Juniors. Not only could it possibly create a little parody but the under 17 championship seems to work just fine. Do you really think that a little tournament would feed separatism?!?!?! Seems a little far fetched doesn't it?
Most people here suggest something like this (unless I misunderstood everything):
Western: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba Ontario: Ontario Quebec/East: Quebec, maybe additionally the other eastern provinces
I've noticed that the territories (Yukon, Northwest, Nunavut) wouldn't be represented at all, but there are very few people living there (about 110,000 combined according to Wikipedia), so I suppose that a Territories team would be very weak.
