Russian hockey player is seriously considering offers from the KHL

Series star "returnees" CHL awaits completion in the face of Alexander Frolov, ready to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Yashin, Fedorov and Afinogenov, in his time who dared to continue a career in his native country.

Russia striker, who won the world title in 2009, the summer has received some good offers from Russian clubs. More active than others then was Salavat Yulaev, but Ufa Alexander chose the New York Rangers, where he had high hopes.

Not justified. The talented striker was unable to show the proper dedication and performance, and lost the trust of coach John Tortorella. Not satisfied with his position and small game time Russian legionnaire "Rangers," criticized the actions of the leadership in one interview, which aroused the wrath of the coach and fan club.

Frolov title search is designed for one year, and it is unlikely that the bosses of the New York teams have desire to prevent the relocation neprizhivshegosya Russian in the event of a proposed transfer.

In contrast, in the CHL, there are many willing to sign experienced striker of the national team level and even in anticipation of the playoffs. The only obstacle to return to their homeland could be high financial requirements of a hockey player, who for a year of speeches in the Rangers had to earn $ 3 million.

My bad..forgot to put this.

TatarBashqort said that the arcticle says that Frolov is willing to leave Rangers due to little play time and bearing in mind that in off-season Salavat Yulaev Ufa of KHL had a great desire to sign him (they still have) but he accepted an offer from Rangers.

Salavat traded Igor Volkov(drafted in 8th round in 2003 by Islanders) to Omsk Avangard for a draft pick - rumour is: they did it to free a cap place for Frolov

Good.

Keep doing what you're doing, Tortsie. Better yet, throw his ass on a line with Boogaard and White. He'll be gone sooner rather than later.

Radulov did...I think the only repercussions he'd get from it would be he being banned from international play IIRC. The KHL couldn't care less about our contracts, and if he wants to leave there's really nothing we can do to stop him.

Good riddance. I'll drive him to the airport. If Frolov wants out, then let him walk. It's not like hes doing what he was brought in here to do and the lousy attitude isnt helping either.

Good. Let him leave a few months early, everyone knows that's where he's headed anyway. Players are what they are. Terry Murray and the Kings knew what they had in Frolov, if he deserved ice time and an extension in LA he would have gotten it. The Rangers can't turn water into wine.

I still think he's playing MUCH better than all of you think he is. But if all these Russian rumors are true about the guy then it would definitely be better to let him go.

But again...

He's not playing as bad as everyone says he is.

But if he walks, it's MZA time.

I agree. He's creating a TON of chances on that 3rd line, but he can't finish any of them. Yeah it's frustrating, but that's what happens with 3rd liners. Yes, he's also slightly overpaid for a 3rd liner, but on a one year contract for a FA it's not horrible.

If he wants to go back to Russia, it's his call. Frees up some cap space for the Rangers, hopefully let's them have a look at MZA, Feds can go back to the 3rd line and Dubi plays with gabs

i really wanted to see how Frolov did when Drury and Prospal got back, especially Drury. i felt Drury just being on the bench would help him like Conroy did in LA.

i don't buy this story at all, and Frolov has been getting more ice the last few games and points too.

i'll believe it when i see it

He may create chances, but who cares. He's gone after this season. Unless you see him as part of a Cup run (which isn't happening this year), then it would be best to move him while he's under our control. Trade him for whatever you can get.

Which translation website did you use?

The only reason to care about this, if it's true, is the potential to acquire a draft pick for him at the deadline.

Well I care (star wars moment). Chances lead to goals (although not as many as I'd like).
