"Horrible" is a bit much...considering how omg amazing the Avs are in the third period, we dominated them. On any other night one of those glorious chances would've been buried but we just didn't get the bounces tonight. Considering the Avs are one of the best teams in the West, we did pretty well and deserved a better result IMO.
Glad I'm not the only one tired of Houde talking up the altitude as some kind of life-altering factor in the game tonight. Every time we play in Colorado he talks about it to death.
By the end of the road trip we'll be out of the playoffs.
That's starting to look not impossible somehow. 4 losses in our last 5. Can't say we've played horribly but the D is a major problem plus why is it we can cough up leads but not come back in the 3rd. Being up on the Habs going into the 3rd seems to guarantee our opponents victory.
Habs played a great game, logs of positives. One question, when was cross checking legalized? Or is there an Adam Foote exemption? Avs deserved their win, but also Tim ****ing Peel is cancer.

Not true. We've lost about seven games in this exact fashion. We have nobody who can score clutch goals.
The third was great, we just couldn't bury the puck in the scrambles in around the net. The bounces just didn't go our way, I think people should take the positive and look ahead hoping Montreal plays the rest of their games with that type of energy.
Too many here are ready to jump in the St. Lawrence cause of a loss, the Caps just lost 8 in a row and are still sitting in a playoff spot...relax.

Yep.
Lets be real here, the good start had all to do with Price. Price is still playing well but he's letting in more goals now. If Price lets in 3 goals, it's usually an automatic loss. about 90% of the wins were by 1 goal. It's no surprise that the 1 goal games are going the other way now.
"You're so negative" reply coming in 5...4...3..2..
I dunno... close game against one of the best teams in the league, and a dominant 3rd against possibly the best 3rd period team in hockey recently, in THEIR building. The result doesn't disappoint/anger me that much at all.
That is how to forecheck, Martin better take notes. Habs old men got manhandled by the young Avs. Relying on old men can only take you so far, sooner or later it will crumble in your face.
PK pre benching: On the ice for 10 goals against in 25 games, +5
PK post benching: On the ice for 10 goals against in 5 games, -6
ouch.
when you watch him out there, you can't help but feel bad for the kid. He is more worried about making mistakes and doing the wrong things than just playing his game. martin really got in his head, hopefully he turns it around soon.
Habs just couldn't finish tonight, oh well. I hope we get to see another d-man back there, or this team will have a hard time winning the division.
Come on! One of those chances at the end has to go in. Somebody has to find a way to score.
I'm beginning to come around to getting a scorer. After Markov went down, I thought that we would need a top defenseman, and we may still need one, but before that we need scorer. We're getting shots and chances, but only Cammaleri seems to be able actually put the puck in the net regularly.

Habs are completely healthy. The Avs are without some pretty damn good players.
The Avs got all the bounces go their way tonight and not one bounce with the Habs way.. It sucks but it happens.. The Habs played a decent game but were just very very unlucky.. Anyway wasn't that Tim Peel reffing the game? Honestly have you ever seen a Habs win with that doofus refs the game..
