When Benoit said:''je serais pas surpris Pierre que le Canadien crée l'égalité avec tous ces dégagements refusés de la part de l'Avalanche'' I knew it was toast.
Gomez was very predictable in his moves when he entered the zone, putting the brakes 2-3 feets after the blue line and passing across the zone to whoever might be there.
Plus I think the guys need to shoot more, from anywhere.
That is how to forecheck, Martin better take notes. Habs old men got manhandled by the young Avs. Relying on old men can only take you so far, sooner or later it will crumble in your face.
Habs are completely healthy. The Avs are without some pretty damn good players.
We're just a mid pack team with a good goalie.
The Avs without those players are still a better team than the Canadiens. I wouldn't have tried to argue otherwise. There's a reason why they've won 6 straight even with a bunch of regulars out of the lineup. Anybody who thought tonight should have been a walk in the park because the Avs had injuries should give their head a shake.

They were without Hejduk and Stewart in regards to top players, we are without Markov...so I think we both have some significant injures to top players.
In regards to us being a middle of the pack team, I think we are in the top contending teams out there. The West trip will be a strong indicator of where we are cause the West is so strong with only 2 teams under .500 in their conference.
The Avs got all the bounces go their way tonight and not one bounce with the Habs way.. It sucks but it happens.. The Habs played a decent game but were just very very unlucky.. Anyway wasn't that Tim Peel reffing the game? Honestly have you ever seen a Habs win with that doofus refs the game..
Better forechecking won this game and the Avs are a much more aggressive team. Though the 3rd goal was a good bounce for us off a bad rebound by Price.

Ultimately, you're not wrong... not by a long shot. They also highlighted the Avs forecheck in action during the Ottawa game last night. Sacco really has those guys doing all the right things this year.
If Martin puts PK and Picard back together I will be. Team played better in third. Those two together are costing us games including tonight's Philly and Toronto. I say sit Picard and try Weber.
Hammer Subban
Spacek Weber time for Spacek back to left side.

But Eller getting the least amount of ice time, less then Moen, Lapierre, etc. is just wrong. Kid played another great game, created some chances with the plugs he had on his line... I thought Eller-Pouliot-Darche on line 3 was perfect, gives us a 3rd scoring line. Why was that line changed?
So sick of RDS. Darche this Darche that, altitude this altitude that. Tonight wasn't Habs vs Avs, it was Darche vs altitude.
Glad I'm not the only one.
I was really getting mad at the end, how Darche is this and that and screen the goalie like a pro and how its not his fault if he miss the open net. If it was his whipping boy Kostitsyn he would have said what a missed chance.
I'm really sick of RDS. Can't wait til the Habs game are back on Radio Can or whatever. Can't stand their staff anymore.
Habs have 12 wins against teams that are currently out of a playoff position and 7 wins against teams that are in a playoff position. The team has two road wins against teams that a currently sitting in a playoff position.
We really need to show something on this road trip.
Just got done watching the game. I thought they played well and dominated the 3rd period. Like was said earlier, you just didn't get any lucky bounces and no one could finish it near the net. It happens, but i wouldn't be worried. You should worry if they never showed up in the first place.

Seriously, I don't get why the kid gets benched everytime we are trailing even if he's having a great game. Ok, he can bench AK because he had a bad game but why Eller? He's intense and good around the boards but because we are trailing, he sits for the last 10-12 min of the game.
I was wondering what was happening between Darche and Anderson at the end of the game there. Anderson got a slashing penalty at 20:00 so I guess he took a shot at Darche as the game wound down.
Just the fact that Darche is out there at that critical moment says everything about the Habs. I love Darche. He works hard and is a good 3rd to 4th liner. He gives us size on the wings and always drives to the net.
But, when he's your best option in front late in the game...
AK no where in sight of course, or Pouliot, or Patches.
I would not be opposed at the Habs putting Weber in the line up over Picard. We need to see something different back there, and if that doesn't work it would be time to look at adding a top 4 guy that can play with Subban like a Bieksa or Regher.
