it's just frustrating when you can't bury simple chances.

I'm not panicking and I know Carey has robbed other teams, but we could have beat Anderson, should have, but we missed at least 5 or 6 chances to tie the game. As for Gomez being predictable: he made great zone entries, his shot led to the Picard goal and all his passes created great scoring opportunities. Gionta was the one who didn't bury them. Even MP gave Gio a ton of chances. On that line it's not just Gomez that has to have a good game. Gionta is the trigger man and if he can't get them off then it's not gonna be a good night for them.

I think it was Obyrne who gave Darche those cross checks right before he missed.

I'd like for JM to try this line up and to also split up PK and Picard on D..

Cammy - Pleks - Pouliot
Gionta - Gomez - MaxPac
Darche - Eller - AKost
Laps - Halpern - Moen

Oh yeah, and what's so hard about pronouncing Pacioretty's name anyway? Tonight the Colorado colour guy on two occasions called him Paciorelly. LOL I've only heard Cole call him that before. The guy doing the calls corrected him on both occasions.

But, I was like: They're Ts! They're Ts! Seriously, not Ls!

Need a top 4 defenceman in a BAD way. Hamrlik and Spacek cannot be a top pairing. Picard is AHL material and frankly, I know people will get pissed at this, but Subban needs to be sent back down to learn a lesson. His zone clearings are Peewee material.

You have to mention Mueller with Quincey.

Hey PK, I hope you are not reading this PGT.

It was a decent road game, I am not upset.

Nope you need to watch that play again. The Linesman didn't touch the puck. PK slapped at the puck pretty much blindly at the boards which bounced to O'Reilly's skates. O'Reilly kicked the puck across the blue line, so he wasn't offside either.

Mueller has not been there all seasons so a non-factor really. And even though we have only Markov out, I wonder how healthy Spacek and Gomez are right now even though they are in the line up.

Not making excuses, but to say the Av's were without some good players is stupid because they still had Stastny, Duchene, Fleischmann, Liles and several good young up and comers...too many are making it look like the Habs were playing the 1978-79 Colorado Rockies line up!

they are missing 3 top players. its not a disastrous situation

They managed to replace one foward by Fleishmann and O'byrne is the guy who replaced hannan. The GM responded to the injuries.

IMO, they are missing one 2 top foward. Having duchene (3rd pick) help the team (us having price)

Quincey: is he that good? 1pt in 21 games

Not a bad road game actually. And the Avs are pretty hot right now so I wouldn't bee too harsh on the boys. Build on this, uses your chances, and stop missing empty nets. We should be fine.

I already said I didn't see a reply.. I'm just going on what the TSN guys said about the puck going off the linesman's skate as I didn't notice it.. While watching that play live though it looked offside to me and to others in the GDT too..

Avs fan here. I was really blown away by Lars Eller, he is so shifty and makes so much room for himself with his stickhandling.

So it's stupid to say we are without some good players, because we still have some good players left in the lineup? Thats bizarre logic.

Hejduk (31 points in 28 games)
Stewart (25 points in 23 games)
Mueller (Hasn't played this season, but a very talented top six forward)
Daniel Winnik (One of the top PKers on the team)
Kyle Quincey (Top four dman, but has struggled this season)
Kyle Cumiskey(Bottom pairing dman)

I'd say that is missing some top end players. 2 guys over a PPG, and Mueller who is a top six forward himself.

Daniel Winnik is a HUGE factor for this team. He's been an amazing pickup for us. Awesome penalty killer, very strong along the boards, good defensively, and chips in offensively time to time.

The bottom 2 though, you are right, they are not very big losses.

Cumiskey sucks. Shattenkirk's taken his job anyways. Quincey played much better coming out of his first injury and I would love to have him healthy in the lineup. Hes a better player than Wilson or Hunwick. Winnik is awesome, and I rather have him healthy than Mueller since our offense is just fine without Mueller. Tonight we had to ice David effine KOCI, who played 3 minutes.

Unfortunately our coach doesn't see this and he ends up getting the least amount of ice time on the team.

I'll leave out these three.

Daniel Winnik [Very solid 3rd liner and our best PKer, was missing tonight's game due to sickness.]
Kyle Quincey [Having a terrible season, but still has potential to be a 3-5 spot defenseman.]
Kyle Cumiskey [Probably the fastest skater in the league with the skill set of a ECHLer]

All in all Cumiskey was replaced by Hunwick while the other two would already have spots returning from injury.

Also what did you guys think of O'Byrne tonight?

Well, you can denigrate the balance of the NW division leading Avalanche all you want, but all the guys on that poster's list average(d) 17+ minutes per game over the season so far (Winnick the lowest at 16:56/game), so yeah... that's a lot of minutes to "easily replace" for any squad.
