Derek Boogaard now experiencing headaches. Concussion a worry, tests possible. Don't expect to see him play for #NYR for a while.
--------------------------------------------
They need to recall Weise and let him play in the Boogaard spot. Keep White as a spare forward. Or call up Williams or Zucarello and let them play on the 2nd or 3rd line.
No Callahan and Todd White becomes a regular that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
the biggest meanest dude there is. hes done us a ton of good with all his injuries and not really winning a fight soundly.
feel bad for the guy and all but honestly just play Weise. They will be ok without a tough guy that plays 5 minutes a night
just IR him and get some cap space. I can't believe Todd White is still on this team but I have a feeling he is'nt going anywhere if he can be a spare F. Stupid cap hit but he's a vet spare
they must assume that prospal is going to be back after the game on thursday and dont want to waste the cap space by keeping weise up
Nope, the same entry on Ranger Rants mentions that, if things keep going well, Prospal will be back in the lineup the middle of next month.
It was also mentioned (by Andrew Gross) when Weise came up to play that Prust had a bad shoulder and it was too sore to for him to fight-- Weise was brought up for a little extra toughness. Hartford plays tomorrow and the Rangers can bring him back after that, if they want.
Not suprised actually, he's a big guy so either his back injuries wrtr going to flare up again or was going to get the common enforcer injury (head damage, shoulder, and hand). Hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back on the ice.
Prospal is supposed to be back at the end of december.
Which means anywhere from vs islanders and up....A good return would be against the debbies
Not according to the latest news--mid-January is the estimate as per Tortorella:
"Of note from today’s practice was Prospal (right knee) getting through a full practice with his teammates for the first time. He’s gone through optionals before and has also been skating regularly on his own. He wore an orange, non-contact jersey but his skating seemed much stronger than just about a week ago. Still no timetable for his return on Prospal’s end - Tortorella estimated mid-January - but both Prospal and Tortorella called this a “next step” in Prospal’s eventual return."
