You're absolutely correct. He did do well and played above his head for a good part of the playoffs, and we can't forget that. Unfortunately, someone reminded him that he's Michael Leighton right before the finals. We also can't forget that.

I don't hate Leighton. I just don't want to see him in net for the Flyers.

Would be nice to head into the week off with a win and a 51 point mark. So no overlooking this Panthers team, k? LGF.

You just rate goalies by attractiveness anyway.

You got me. Otherwise I'd never consider Lundqvist a better goalie than Leighton.

A lot of criticism isn't his fault either; it's the fact that Homer signed him to be the starting goaltender when he really has no place as anything other than a backup. And now he's being squeezed into a goalie tandem that is doing very well right now, and IMO, there's no reason to do so.

I can understand that. Nothing against him personally but he's a backup until proven otherwise. He's a weak link as a starter. Bob on the other hand.....

You might be right. I don't know. But if ML is the odd man out, maybe this is a quicker way of making it happen. But like I said I don't know - one way or the other. All that really matters is that you guys are ready for a cup run when the PO's start.

....and btw it seems to me that part of why Bob is so good is his ability to hyper-focus. In a 98+ game season (if you're gonna win a cup). I'd worry about mental fatigue on his part. My head gets tired just thinking about a season of playing this way.

Can't underestimate any team. Flyers must play a full 60. I'd like to see Richie and Roo step up their game too.

If they are going to rotate the three, wouldnt it make sense to start Leighton against the Panthers?

Its a great time to be a Philadelphia sports fan!

4th quarter comeback for the Eagles and possible first round playoff bye. Cliff Lee picks the Phillies over NY and the Flyers are on fire!

I sense they are determined to go into the break (eight days) with a victory and right now Bobrovsky gives them a better chance than Leighton. If there was a game tomorrow, maybe Leighton plays in the first of the two.

Talking about the success of the Philadelphia sports teams, up until the caps win yesterday, the Washington Sports teams hadnt won a game since December 3rd.
