Lindberg made the final cut for Sweden.
He was the best goal scorer(a bit surprising) in the three internal games at the selection camp. He scored three goals.

Watching Team Cnda vs Team Swdn. 2nd period Oscar Lindberg killing a penalty got a shorthanded breakaway from his own blue line in but was overtaken by a Cndn Dman and had the puck stripped before getting away a shot. Looked really awkward skating and seemed really slow. He really laboured trying to gain some speed from a dead stop. Had trouble accellerating.

End of 2nd, Team Cda 2 Sweden 0.
Uhh if it's a PK I'd imagine he is slightly tired.

Could very well be that. I had a hard time getting a handle on his play. Don't have a big screen TV and had trouble identifying him by number. The Swedes don't show names on the back of their shoulders. Its at the bottom of the Jersey and hard to read. There are several Lindbergs on the team. Thought he might be #11 but their roster doesn't list nmbrs. He got PP time but I can't say whether it was 1st or 2nd unit. He also played regularly on the PK.
The Swedes outshot Canada by 20 - 5 in the 1st but after that Cda adjusted and kept the Swedes to the outside with very few scoring chances for the remainder of the game. Visintin did not play. The starting goaltender has not been named and won't be decided until the tourney starts.
Maybe I'm wrong about Brown, but I don't think he'll be playing on one of the top 2 lines. Would be nice to see him utilized in key power play and penalty killing situations.
I can see Visentin starting on Sunday against the Russians. Either way, I'm sure both he and Roy will see playing time before the preliminary round is over.

Roy played very well for Canada against Sweden and I believe earned the start in game 1. They do play one more exhibition game, it will be interesting to see if they play both goalies in it.
As for Brown, I'd guess he'll start out as a 3rd/4th line role player but he should at least get a chance to work his way up with good play. They have quite a few quicker and more skilled players ahead of him so it might be tough to get those premium minutes.
So I see Visentin as the backup to start and Brown as a 4th liner. If you want to know how well I'm doing so far with my WJC Coyotes' prospects predictions please look to my comments on both of these players earlier in the thread.
Granted Visentin was playing a weaker opponent but you can't do any better than putting up a bagel.
As mentioned, both will see time and the guy that's playing better will get the start for the big games.
He quite badly misplayed a couple of scrambles around the net and got a bit fortunate to get the shutout and the Swiss never really got many quality chances. That said it was still a shutout.
He also seemed to be Cameron's first choice to make the team (based on the scratches in camp games) with Roy and Pickard fighting for the 2nd so who really knows.
If Visentin has a marginal leg up to the starting role, as speculated through the early part of camp, I'd give him the Russians. They will definitely be more of a test than the Swiss were. Let him prove it's his starting job.
That said, I can see Roy getting the games versus the Czech Republic and the Swedes again, leaving Visentin to play Norway.
After that, the will go with the ONE GUY that the Team has more confidence in. Sure hope Visentin is that guy!!!
I have to eat a little crow here on Visentin. I was very negative in my remarks regarding the Visentin selection but he's been stellar thus far this season and the fact that he made Team Canada ahead of other more heralded goalies like Pickard is huge. His stats in the CHL have been very good as well. He's exceeded expectations thus far this year which is all you can ask in your prospects.
They are playing 1 more exhibition game against Finland. Both goalies will play and they will make a decision sometime after that. Visintin was a unanimous chioce to make Team Canada and then they chose Roy over another candidate. I suspect that both goalies will play during the round robin. The 1st game will be against the Russians and they will choose who they think should be the starter for that game but if they are not satisfied with the goaltenders performance they will switch. I think they will alternate goalies for the weaker teams unless 1 tender is spectacular.
I know what it's supposed to be, just messin. I'd agree with you, except that I'd never be welcome back in my home state of Ohio. It's tough enough to root for Michigan players: Porter, Kolarik, Summers, Brown...did I miss anyone?
I'm assuming the Canada game was just an off night for him? He looked really slow, and made some bad decisions against Canada. His penalty killing was great though.
