I'd be kinda surprised if he got traded at all. The quickest way for the lender to get the asset off their hands is for the Stars to have a good season. If the Stars make the playoffs, the more likely they'll find a buyer to pay the lenders and take the team. And they can't make the playoffs without Richards. Who knows what'll happen if he makes it to FA?
ESPN.COM: Scott Burnside recently suggested the New Jersey Devils should consider shopping goaltender Martin Brodeur, believing he’s their most valuable asset whom teams like Washington and Tampa might be willing to pursue…Kings GM Dean Lombardi’s “Willie Mitchell” experiment hasn’t worked out and could push him to add more defense prior to the February 28th trade deadline…
I said this awhile back, Kings need a a #7 guy who has some more, size, NHL experience and is more of a stay at home guy than Harrold. Most of our prospects are offensive guys, so if a Greene, Scuderi, or Mitchell goes down the Kings are left looking at Drewiske or even Campbell or Teubert (one is barely 20 years old and the other might be a career AHL'er). Hickey, Voynov, Martinez, Mullen are all offensive D man and we already have DD, JJ and Harrold.
I shot a flash mob that happened at LA Live on Monday night. I will post the video of it in the OT forum when its done later tonight 150+ people dancing in the rain and cameramen getting very, very wet.
