Why if I remember correctly, weren't we pissed off during the night of our season opener against the Flyers this year because a clip of some garbage band that was playing in Toronto (for some HNIC thing) was being shown on our TV's instead of the inaugural CEC ceremony footage right before the game?
Are you talking about that craptastic Canadian band called Hedley? I remember they were literally so fantastically awful that I actually wikipedia'd them right after they played so I could find out if they were for real or if that was some kind of Canadian joke on Americans.

They were real.

I would agree with that as long as it would be followed by the entire Winter Classic game played by a naked Sid, Letang, and Malkin.

Arcade Fire would have been the best possible act to get in my opinion.

Family friendly, upbeat, etc.

Wiz wouldve been great given how popular he is nationally right now, but I doubt the NHL would want a guy just arrested for weed being a main attraction in their biggest showcase game.

I have no idea who that is. I'm a metal/hardcore fan so I don't know much about popular music but Arcade Fire and their fans are what I envision when I hear "Hippster" or "Trendy" or "Terrible" or well you get the point....

If they wanted a good Pittsburgh band, they should've picked Punchline.

Thanks for this, these guys should be main line.
