Lecavlier is elite, but Gaborik isn't.

What.

"Malkin had 5 pts last night and most of the game he didn't not even play with Sid."
Gaborik scored 5 goals in a game with the wild with no one on his line. Certainly not one of the best playmakers in the league.

"Stamkos and Saint Louis have a ton of points and have not had Vinny around."
Dude, Stamkos and St. Louis play on the same line... Stamkos and Vinny both play center...

"Why is this so hard for everyone to accept?"
Because people don't generally accept things that are so patently false.

Although I responded to this guy his premise isn't really worthy of it.

Written like a child who read last night's box scores and looked at Gabby's stats so far this year, good work. He was elite last year, but now b/c of a poor start he's not? no wait i bet he was overrated last year too right? The average memory span of some here has to be like what 3 weeks?

I love when things are not going well for Gabby he pulls the shute. He has had 5 days to rehab his groin, all of a sudden today it's no good. He does not show up any way. This team has played better with Gabby and his purse in the stands. Call Dale Weise back up he did more in the game last Saturday than Gabby did anyway!! He is soft and fragile, trade him away.

And this is what happens when the youth movement philosophy runs amuck.

it's the other way around.
Things are not going well for Gabby when he is not playing healthy.

Gaborik missed 25 games last year? I guess NHL.com and Yahoo! are lying to me when the stats page says he played 76.

I didn't realize the monster I was unleashing when I made this thread. Just proves that venting creates problems.

you're a delusional person if you believe this. Also for the record, he missed 7 games last year...not 25.

Did you ever think that maybe, maybe Gaborik has been playing injured? You didn't?

No, we're hockey fans, many of whom have watched Gaborik his whole career and can recognize his skill and dedication to the game. And, of course, he's overpaid--the salaries in most sports are outrageous, especially for elite players.

But, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Right?
