I'm sure BB is tuned out by now. Hell even I was beginning to tune him out. How many ****s can you throw in before it loses its edge?

It would of been sweet if we did one and saw Lavi come in. He probably would of came into our locker room and been like, WTF is wrong with you guys? This is a system, play it.

Now, they show BB and Bylsma going into the locker room after the game. I herd Lavi doesn't do that. I wonder how true that is.

That's interesting. However, if Lavi does that, I can see how that approach has merits.

I was expecting more focus on the Pens vs Flyers game in episode 2 last night. They barely spent any time on it at all. Oh well. Still a pretty great show.

They can't make the Pens look bad after a defeat. However, if the Pens had won, they would have spent much more time on it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I smelled fear in Crosby and Dupuis' hotel room. Sid stayed in bed rather than go out for dinner in Philly. Normally I wouldn't read a lot into that, but just a day or two before he was walking around in Buffalo having a snowball fight as if he owned the place. Let's keep tabs on which other cities inspire him to stay in bed.
I thought they spent a good amount of time on the Flyers game and did a good job painting an intimidating picture of playing in Philly.

Does anyone else think Malkin is tolerated rather than respected and appreciated? In episode 1 he was skating around the rink and joking like a spoiled 12 year old. Then some of the coaching staff's reactions to his boneheaded penalty in the Flyers game didn't do much to change my opinion.
And he's an alternate captain?!

Thus endeth my psychological evaluation of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

What great TV it would be to see Boudreau get fired during 24/7. Keep your fingers crossed.

You're reading entirely too much into Crosby not going out and Malkin skating around like a 12 year old was because he was injured. What do you want him to do? He said himself he wasn't ready for anything physical.

"Philadelphia's the definition of a road game." -- Sidney Crosby

Truer words may have never been spoken.

Also, Knuble is great. I still don't like that we let him walk on a contract we could have afforded. Alas, water under the bridge.

I think it has more to do with the show being based around the Pens Caps rivalry.

Agreed. I find it a bit silly that people are complaining about the lack of focus on the Flyers in a show that is not about the Flyers.

Bruce Boudreau is more interesting than Sidney Crosby.

Good choice in poster boy, Bettman.

He knew what he was doing...look at the way the NHL and its pundits react to the likes of PK Subban, Roenick, Linus Omark and even Ovie.

For whatever reason the NHL is only interested in white bread, boring players who's only public persona is mumbling the same cliches over and over again.

And Sidney Crosby is the whitest of white bread.

I love this show, I just hate both teams involved. I literally don't think I like any of the players involved other than Asham and Knuble.

I love how the players talked about going to Philly and it being "the definition of a road trip" and then when they were going out on the ice they said "**** these guys". I loved it, especially because we beat their dumbasses after the fact.

Who is complaining about focus on the Flyers? I said focus on the Flyers/Pens game. Its a big rivalry, they were building up the Pens winning streak, and then when they are in a game that they lose they spend very little time on it. I just figured they would have made a bigger deal out of it than they did.

Last night's episode truly showed how awesome a character Knuble is. Still miss him.

I'm actually a bit shocked at what goes on in the locker room. I thought more players would be vocal. It always seems like the coach comes in, curses, then the players cheer and say "Lets do it boys" (or something of the sort). I was more local in my high school locker room than any of these guys.

Ovechkin is a HORRIBLE leader by the way. Sure he fought, but he cries about injuries all the time (in the trainers room w/ his thigh and with his hand). I know I'm not in his situation, but I expect more from a captain. Man the **** up, lead your team.

And as I read this, Knuble scores a shorty against the Pens to tie the game!

I always thought that an NHL locker room was completely different than ones in minor hockey (Bantam, Midgets, etc...), but I've come to realize, aside from them have state of the art locker rooms, they arent. The atmosphere, the way the players act, and things like that, are all pretty much the same in all the different circumstances

It's kinda like the locker room talk in Slap Shot, though not funny or entertaining.

What an awesome third episode!!! Seriously, this show is amazing and I really hope they do it again next year. It would be incredible to see what it is like during the playoffs or the finals but I doubt they would ever allow that to happen.

I think they could do it like Hard Knocks and follow a team in training camp.
