Burke on with Joey Vendetta & Dan Dunleavy (Dec 21st)

they waste half the interview talking about music (like I care about Burkey's music tastes) but there's some hockey talk as well

Burke has better taste in music than in players.

I thought Burke boycotted the FAN590.

Joey Vendetta is on the Fan now?? Wow, talk about a name from the past. I remember back in 86 or so, he had an underground-metal show on Q107 after midnight and that is where I first heard GNR - thry hadn't released their album yet, but he played Welcome to the Jungle and said that GNR would be the next huge band.....ahh the memories....

Why would a sports talk radio station speak to the GM of the leafs team and talk about music?

What an outrage.

well any question about the team would involve something negative pretty much

im just saying they didn't hardly asked him anything about the latest happenings

usually the role of the media is supposed to be to ask the 'tough questions'

He's famous for the interview he did around that time with Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue). I believe it got him fired.

Sixx actually wrote about it in The Heroin Diaries.

Tommy and Nikki go to a Toronto club called Rock’n’Roll Heaven, where a fist fight develops after a patron makes a snide remark to Tommy about his wife Heather. They then do a radio interview with Joey Vendetta on Q107 to promote their upcoming concert, and get wasted in the studio.

Yup, I read about that in the Heroin Diaries (great book, and 'The Dirt' is even better!).
But he worked for the Q in the 90's as well....I remember seeing him in Babedale (Yorkdale) around '94 and striking up a conversation with him. That night, my buddies and I were going to see Peter Criss and Ace Frehley at RPM and I asked Joey if he was going, and if he could let us meet the band (I was a kid lol) - but alas, he said he wasn't going to the show.
For what its worth, the show was EXCELLENT!

Cleets: sounds like you need a visit to a massage parlor or how about Rosie and Felicia Lmao talk about uptight (enjoy life) at least Joey knows how to conduct an interview without punking someone out.

More than likely it was the only way Burke would go on the show....if promised to not talk about the Leafs.

Having said that..who the hell wants to hear Burke talk about anything else other than hockey?

Great....he loves Lynard Skinner and Southern Rock.....idiot.

"If you tune into my radio in my car, you will find it is on a Classic Rock Station"....

If Burke promises to talk only about hockey will you promise not to?
