Yeah, I know. I was just trying to paint a worst case scenario. Remember what Sopel & Parrish cost us? I'm just sayin'......

That was Dave Taylor's last attempt at saving his job.

Huh? Is this the same Moulson that was on our team before that was just about everyone's whipping boy? I am supposed to believe 1.33 years in New York has all of a sudden chnaged his play. There is no doubt Moulson is a product of his linemates. If we didnt have them before he left, aint much changed since then.

Kopitar has to deal with other teams best, which is why scoring depth is so important in a cap world.

This is why the Kings needs to hang on to Doughty and Johnson for as long as possible, hopefully Dought and Johnson take modest discounts to stay with the Kings long term. Having multiple #1s in your lineup can be very expensive, at any position.

Malkin is probably the only #1 center in the NHL that plays as a #2 center.
Agree with the premise but not the evidence....I think some players in Phi/Bos would disagree with you....as well as some others but I haven't done the proper leg work.

Maybe, maybe not.

Our 1st round pick this year will be 20-ish in a weak draft, so that's not a tremendous loss, especially if we extend either guy (they're both 27, so that's a good thing!).

Then again, if you want us to ship the Islanders Toffoli.....

Hey, best case scenario is Parse and a 2nd round pick, but how often does the best case scenario transpire?

Actually, there IS a doubt. Most folks think Moulson just matured 'cuz there aren't a plethora of puck-dishers on the Islanders. What, you think Tavares is making him great? Tavares doesn't know what a pass is.

Mark my words. Moulson would, at the least, make our power play voom.

Maybe so, but I don't think he'd fit in well with the system here. Part of the reason that line scores is that they give up alot of chances on the other side of things. Moulson may have matured his offensive game, but his two-way game still needs work, and that would be a big problem with Murray who seems to reward defensive effort and responsibility

I know it is Eklund, but seriously? The Kings have no room for Langenbrunner on their roster.

Ottawa will fall out of reach of the playoffs now. What about trading for Michalek?

With Westgarth scratched, they'll have plenty of room. Plus, I do believe rosters are expanded for the playoffs.

In a 7-game series, which fourth line would you prefer?

Richardson / Lewis / Westgarth

.....or.....

Richardson / Lewis / Langenbrunner

The Kings aren't going to have a $3 million scratch, especially when he brings the type of game that's valuable in the playoffs.

That depends on who's playing better at the time, Richardson or Poni. We'll see.

Hell, don't be surprised if, when the playoffs roll around, the Rags scratch Frolov, despite his $3 million contract. The fans over there have figured out in 3 months what we didn't know for 3 years....

So much for acquiring Wisniewski. And for the person wondering why the Isles would trade him, well, you got your answer. They dealt him for a conditional 2nd and a 5th. Good pickup by Montreal.

I believe it was a 2011 2nd and a conditional 2012 5th.

Kings didn't need him.

Is Parse out for the year or will he be back for the playoffs?
