Most unsatisfying win i've seen in a while. Non the less good to get back in the Win column.

Nasty win, but I'll take it.

I just realized we'e playing the Capitals on Tuesday, which means we'll be featured in the 24/7 special on HBO

good road game

even if they played most of the time in their zone in the 3rd, let's not forget they are in a slump so confidence is not high right now

they need to win in NY to build on something

Wow what a boring game...
The best show was the game between the Bruins and the Thrashers !

Everyone hates on the defense, but honestly, I feel that all the players are putting in tremendous effort and are really being expected to do more without Markov. They are being stretched to the limits by Martin, and yes they make the occasional turnovers, and get out of position, but overall I find their play admirable. Guys like Hamrlik and Spacek are so old, but holding up the best they can. After Christmas, we need to make defense a priority and get a true number 1 or 2. Somebody that can be a steadying influence, to support these guys.

I think we have a fantastic team, and one that deserves every opportunity to win, because I really feel this team is capable of it. Gauthier needs to be aggressive and pursue a top man. Regehr was suggested earlier, Bieksa would be a decent option, Kaberle would be great as well. I just want somebody to take the pressure off the Czechs and the rookies.

I also find the work of the forwards quite admirable as well. We have a good "team defense," and guys are committed to come back and contribute.

when a team is struggling, they need to start out by getting ugly wins.

4-0 without Subban in the lineup, this guy needs to be traded ASAP.

What are they saying on L'Antichambre? Someone leaking information to the media? PK hated in the room? What?

Glad about the win but it's obvious the D squad is close to brain dead. You can only manage for so long without Markov.

It's something about Francois Gagnon's article in the newspaper. Anybody knows what article is this about ?

Ugly but hey, I'll take it. The slump probably isn't over but we aren't doomed yet.

The problem with the defense is without Markov, we don't have any elite talent to lead the line. Hamrlik can do it but when he plays too much his slowness catches up with him, same with Spacek. Gorges and Gill aren't good with big minutes either, and Picard and Weber cannot play against top lines. None of these guys are bad defenders and don't deserve the heat they are getting, but they are overmatched at times.

Good games from Pleks and Gomez, and Price grew as it went on.

Wins like this add up.

there. A member of the organization spoke to La Presse about Subban.

Quote:
«Parce que vous êtes en train d’en faire un monstre, a lancé un autre membre de l’organisation lors d’un récent entretien avec La Presse. Oui, P.K. a un talent fou, mais il faut qu’il apprenne à bien l’utiliser. Et en ce moment, il gaspille ce talent en tentant de tout faire seul. Et le pire dans tout ça, c’est que vous l’encouragez dans cette démarche en l’adulant comme vous le faites. Il y a de quoi être mêlé.»

Wasn't a very pretty win but its a win. They played sloppy and likely against a better team, this is a loss. Just a lot, and i mean a lot of mistakes and poor decision making and plays.

But there were positives in Gomez and Kostitsyn bumping goal scoring slumps. Price was back to making some game saving stops.

Probably the worst game by Hammer in a long time. He really looked fatigued tonight and one has to wonder if these minutes are starting to take a toll.
