The better team won tonight. I fully expected the Stars to win this game convincingly, but much credit to the Flames tonight. They showed up and found a way to get it done against a very good team. Good game from Tanguay and Iginla.

Great to get two points. Tanguay was outstanding. Loved that fight by Iginla as well.

Man this is getting on my nerves.

Flames are not good enough to contend for the cup but yet are too good to be cellar dwellers. I really dislike this mediocrity and its ruining our draft pick selection.

lolwut? Have you looked at the standings? Have you seen the games in hand? Even the islanders beat good teams occasionally. Dont fool yourself, this is a basement team. Dont worry about a top 10 pick, its coming.

1 win and everyone assumes Calgary is going to magically start skyrocketing up the ladder........

ps Wins always feel nice though

Glad to see them roll out the win, even if it was in the SO.

Watching this game made me really hope that Tanquay will re-up for a few more years.

You take the wins when they come. The Flames compete every night. Check out the picture of Iginla on the front page of the Calgary Herald. And, there is talk of trading him - yike. If they did trade him, there would be lots of teams interested. My kid has the picture hanging above his pile of hockey equipment.
May Santa be kind to all tonight.

Speaking of beating good teams, Bailey carried them last night lol.

But no I just don't want a 30-35 win season or maybe sneak into the PO then get washed out. I'd rather just write off this year and have a much better year down the road.

Wow. We actually won a game we deserved to. Too many times this year we have out worked, out played and out competed but eneded up with the goose egg. Feels good to get a deserved win.

Nice win for the boys, they deserved this with all the effort they have put in "some" of their recent games and have come out on the short end of the stick. Hopefully this win lets them relax for a while and enjoy the Christmas holidays with their families. Playing hockey aside, the Flames have a bunch of quality guys and really good people on the team, they deserve to have a little Christmas cheer even if it is short lived. My X-mas wish however is still that they tank the rest of the season and land a top 3 draft pick.

While we did deserve to win this game, we haven't outplayed or outworked opposing teams that often this year. This team is fundamentally bad and uncompetitive.

Great fight by Iggy though, what a warrior

More often than not we are losing games that we out played the opposition imo.

Great fight by Iggy. Amazing conditioning really helped him hang in there. Benn got the best shot but Iggy had more.

Obviously....Iginla is old, declining, and in poor physical condition, the critics are right in saying he has nothing left.

What a fight!! You have to hand it to Benn, but Iggy definitely out lasted the rook and showed him what being a top athlete is all about. Easily one of the top 3 fights this year.

It didn't look at all to me like Iginla was the one hanging in there.
