No wonder we keep asking for grit, tougher guys, and we're not getting it. They just don't believe in that type of hockey. I just wished Martin would be coaching Philly soon....we might be able to trade him Pyatt and Picard for Pronger and Hartnell.
Yea I didn't mind the trade at the time since Bournival can turn out into something interesting for us but it's more and more obvious that Obyrne is something we need but we chose to keep a scrub instead because he was decent for 10 games.

That's some really poor decision making there.

This is just fricking mind boggling and frustrating.

I hope PG trades for Bryan McCabe, Robyn Regehr or Ed Jovanovski... we need a big presence on the blue line badly

I don't know what's changed but this is not the same Habs team we saw for the first 30 games or so.. Their lack of drive, hustle and intensity seems to have disappeared for whatever reason.. 6-1 road trip last year to 1-6 this year..

I'm talking about the building the team around speed. That has nothing with the injuries. Then, even without the injuries happened, you know they can occur, so you build your team with a mix of experience and youth. With stay-at-home and some speedy ones. You build your team IN CASE OF. And clearly I was also talking about the future, about the idea that we will definately sign Markov, we need to build this team differently on D. Would be nice to be proactive instead of reactive.

I just hope Picard never plays a game for us again.

Natey can ban me because he has a man crush on Picard but I will jump for joy when that happens.

Brunet not even considering the idea that Picard could be benched.

Not benched, but I think he should not be dressed until he's not hurt anymore. I don't see the point of using a player who's playing hurt at this time of the season. It doesn't make the team better and it just makes his injury last longer.

it might not be that bad vs Capitals since we play good games against teams with a winning record.

I don't mind the trade based on how much I like Bournival. The trade is not in question. The use of O'B based on the confidence or lack thereof this team has had in him is what I'm questioning.

Yea, the O'Byrne trade is baffling but Hab-like.

According to him, he's the only guy that played well.

He's ridiculous.

I guess I wasn't watching but it strikes as to how Cammy avoids as many contacts he can lately.

What a terrible performance. The team was expecting an easy win and wasn't sharp. Well, Islanders have been about as bad as were supposed to be, but we can't hit the net.

An utterly winnable game, haven't been this disappointed the whole season.

Price changed. He is playing human now. All those mistakes Price covered up are now going in, thats the difference. If you watched the first 30 games, they made all the same mistakes. Now they are showing up on the scoreboard.

Also the first 30 was an easy schedule.

How the heck do you lose to the Islanders like that... I want to smack the hat off DiPietro's head.

Again, I don't have a whole lot to say about the trade itself. By chance, I believe it won't be as one-sided as we're use to see lately....Bournival should become something quite interesting in the long road. But as of now....it does come to Picard or O'B....and they went for Picard.
