Yep, but I was sort of okay with it.

Every time we get blown out at the end of a hot streak right before a break, it gives Lavi a prime chance to regather his flock and instill some fear in the group.

The timing of that disaster couldn't have been better in my opinion. Let's hope he has them ready to go for Vancouver.

Coming off a loss as pathetic as the most recent game, I'd be surprised if Laviolette didn't make some sort of lineup change and that would mean Shelley returns. They had their first practice today and will have another tomorrow (Monday) so perhaps it won't be announced until after the skate on game day (Tuesday).

i hope bob gets his swagger back but im glad boucher is playing so well, for fantasy reasons. not that I will start him against the nucks. but with howard, kipper, anderson not playing too great and turco cont to suck boucher has kept me ok ish.

Apologies for above troll - long-time Canucks fan here looking for some info...mainly on your goaltending situation!

Bobrovsky has been unbelievable every time I've seen him play this year, and he seems to have been nothing short of a revelation. Do you guys have any predictions about what will happen to the three-headed goalie situation? I guess the only three possible outcomes are Bob down to the AHL, Boucher traded/waived, or Leighton traded/waived.

Very curious as to what's going on, but something tells me you lot are just as mystified as to what will actually happen. Thanks in advance!

Any guess would be purely speculative and tenuous. They are carrying three goaltenders at the moment. Whether practice time becomes a detemrining factor or other more tangible circumstances enter the equation, it's a wait-and-see situation and for the immediate future.

I have a very real fear that the sine-wave avatar may be in effect after this road trip, and Bob coming back down to earth is only part of it. I hope the team proves this wrong.

The thread title should be: "Timmy P. expects Boucher to start because he hates Russians and has no sources."

It may be a small sample size, but I get the impression that the more he plays the the better he is. Lesson learned, I hope.

The article doesn't tell me much about what will happen and a lot of what Timmeh thinks will happen. The Flyers don't generally tell anyone who they expect to start 3 days before a game. Also, his comments about Bob's play are over the top, his record over the past few games is as much the team's fault as his. There have been a lot of dumb turnovers and goals that have bounced off the defencemen's legs.

There has been but he has let a few goals up high and five hole that were his fault. Plus he is a small goalie that relies on reflexes, if a shot goes off a player 1 ft in front him he has to potentially move more than a big goalie like lieghton would have to. He was doing that earlier but has feel off the last few games.

Im a Lieghton supporter too as I think, when all our is healthy, he is the perfect type of goalie for this team.

Tomorrow's game should be a real beauty. The Canucks have a tendency to play correspondingly up or down to the level of their competition, so they should be really up for the Flyers. Your guys got here before the snowstorm hit, so they've had a couple of days to shake off the jet lag and come down with a nice, raging case of Roxy flu.

No word on this end about who's starting in the Flyers' net; all the local media are still too busy calling Edmonton radio stations and asking for "Lou Zer".

I wonder about Bartulis play. He looked like poop against Florida, him and O'Donnell were horrible. Same goes for Carle, did not have a great game.

Daniel Cleary is out for few weeks. Maybe Flyers can beat Wings in Detroit? When was teh last time we beat Wing sin their own house? 1980th?

Hoping for a decent start and a W against Vancouver.

November 1988 in the regular season.

The Flyers won a preseason game there in 1998, the same day the Red Wings traded Mike Knuble to the Rangers.

Seems like the Flyers & Canucks play almost every year around this time. If my memory serves, the Canucks often lose this match-up. Both teams are IMO the best in their respective conferences so far this year so should be a barn burner. I expect a lot of physicality for this one.

When Boosh cools down, I guess. He's been pretty good of late.

Not specifically related to the road trip, but Mez was inducted into the Vancouver Giants (WHL) Ring of Honour tonight.
