Senior appriciation day!

Today was the annual senior appreciation at my high school, once again I leave unscathed, but many of my friends weren't so lucky

Where you ever a senior appreciator or did you ever have one?

I'm yet to have been one and I'm in the clear since if all goes well I'll have a senior homeroom next year so I'll get to do it two years in a row(long story)

Only problem with these things is that you can spot people that really have zero originiality...I saw no less than 15 kids dressed as sumo wrestlers. That hasn't been funny for 10 years...some where great though, nothing like having this stone cold goth chick dressed as a cheerleader.

Some other top candidates:
- The talest kid in school (6'8") having a basketball hoop on him
- Two people as transformers battling each other all day. Entirely cardboard costumes, best for pushing over
- The theme of the day seemed to be Michael Jackson's thriller...tons of kids with ripped up suits and zombie make-up, and it worked really, really well

For those that don't know what this is...

Seniors have to pay something like $5 per "appriciator". The appriciator must be in a lower grade (freshman, sophomore, junior) and must carry the seniors books around...but as it's often called senior slave day it's obviously more than just that.

It's basically a day of seniors making jackasses out of everyone, it's great

My homeroom had some great costumes, one was a butler who looked exactly like Lerch...without trying to...

We had Rent-a-Senior, where any senior who wanted could participate and get auctioned off. The money goes into the Senior Class fund, which goes towards prom and stuff like that. I went for $75 and spend the day in a cow costume with a big ass bell around my neck. I also had to wait hand and foot on the person who rented me for the day, which wasn't that bad other than the mooing every half hour-- regardless of what was going on in class-- and the dance routine I did with one of my friends who was dressed up like a milkman.

I rented one of my guy friends who was VERY conservative and dressed him up as a goth, it was great. There were a lot of guys in towels, drag, and a bunch of stuff like that. The girls were a bit more original, but mostly in costumes. It was such a great day.

That's a little too pricy for my liking.

These things are definitely fun, I'm just gonna think long and hard on what I do because there's nothing worse than people who don't even try.

Way too many sumos, cows, zombies, etc.

Most people went for between 10-20. I had a lot of people that I had terrorized over the years that wanted to get back at me. I think I spent $7 on one of the guys I rented and $13 on the other.

One idea that I saw that was hilarious was one of my guy friends was dressed up as Pee Wee and forced to carry a boom box with the Tequila song through the halls. He had to drop the radio and get on a table and do the dance... it was hilarious. Another of my friends was dressed up as Rocky and had to do the same thing with the boom box, only to Eye of the Tiger. They were both rented by the same person.

You have a day for that and you pay for it? haha

We just make kids into our "b*tches" the first day of the year if we are seniors, lol.

well this way we can do almost anything.

And it's only like $5, it's worth the price of admission, especially since the money goes to the prom.

Next Wednesday we have our senior auction... nothing great, a bunch of seniors (I chose not to participate) get auctioned off and the highest bidder gets dinner with their senior... nothing great, everyone goes for $15-$20... it's fun, but doesn't raise that much money.

You're forgiven, Mattihp.

Consider yourself lucky. I was just about to PM you some of my greatest puns as punishment. Talk about painful.
