Bernier winning two in a row and both of our goalies are looking good. Sharks game will be tougher and Quick will be rested and ready to roll. Crucial games coming up so this is a good start!

Watching the replay on FSW right now, and man it feels good to see the boys outwork the ducks. It's not as complete a game as the one against the Avs, but the energy and hustle is through the roof, and they're getting results. I hope their fans see what a real team is supposed to play like.

PS. Williams is a beast, Clifford is insane.

This is some wonderful news to wake up to. Went to bed with them tied. Gotta take it to San Jose tonight. Would be great to steal one there and these couple division wins.

Kopitar has 35 points
Brown has 31
Williams has 31

Currently we have three of the top thirty scorers in the league.

Williams/Brown have really stepped up with the whole we couldn't fill with Kovalchuk.

It was great to be back at Staples Center, and more importantly great to see the Kings finally get a win in person.

Crowd was awesome and the team is so much better and more exciting when they roll 4 lines capable of playing hockey, it's so refreshing to not have to worry about how many minutes certain players are going to play and drag down the team. Every player on the roster last night contributed to the win. Really proud of the boys and to Murray for giving the team a good chance to win.

Johnson and Doughty are just so good it's scary. Getting these two signed longterm has to be #1 priority for the team right now. Now I just wish Kompon would put JJ back on the #1 PP, it's ridiculous how much better they move the puck with JJ over Stoll.

Clifford's play since he stopped towing Anchor19 has been nothing short of amazing, especially for a 19 year old kid. This kid has moved up to a checking unit in the NHL and has been playing lights out shutting down top forwards, playing tough and chipping in offensively.

Smyth is so bad it's painful to watch. It's getting to the Roenick level minus the circus and excuses. Both DT and DL have done other teams favors by taking washed up overpaid stars from years past, going forward I hope lessons have been learned.

Brown's goal last night was the most patience I have seen Dustin show offensively, I think the old Brown would have wired that as quickly as possible on net, it was nice to see him wait, take his time and pick his spot.

Had a $250 gift card I got for Christmas and it was gone by the end of the 2nd on food, booze and stuff from the team store...oh well worth it.

I miss Staples Center, Kings Fans and nice weather...I don't want to fly back.

GO KINGS!

Anyone else find it funny that the one chant that reverberated throughout the entire arena was Ducks Suck?

Our boys looked good, minus the start. Fowler and Sbisa look like they're gonna give the Ducks a decent defensive core to build around, which sucks.

So happy Simmonds fought Perry, that guy should have to fight every game. Getzlaf yapping all game was amusing and seeing him whine to the refs, then skate off frustrated added some fun to the evening.

Though it pains me, I'm starting to lean towards Herby's opinion of Smyth. Just really hated what I saw from him last night. His negatives are starting to outweigh the positives, imho.

Agree 100%. Smyth does very little for this team right now. Gets knocked off the puck very easily and flops around on the ice quite a bit. Amazing that he's fallen so far so quickly. I know he's a good guy and great in the room but his play hardly begs of a guy making 6 mil + this year.

I like Smyth but I've been saying he should be getting 4th line minutes and PP time.

I'd roll a 2nd line of Poni-Lewis-Williams.

They're not going to put Smyth on the 4th line.

I hated that sort of schedule. I used to work 3am-3pm Mon-Fri, usually going to half days on Saturday. A lot of times they would have to mix it up, and I would do a 5pm-5am shift. Terrible. That was the only time of my life when I would habitually smoke cigarettes.

You don't remember him complaining about ice time in Detroit and then He and Roenick complaining about ice time during the last year of Andy Murray?

Smyth is alright and I am fine with waiting out the rest of his contract. He is still on pace for 26 goals and 47 points, that is still good enough for second line minutes. He has never really had much hockey sense, and has always been a big, hard-nosed, old school hockey player. I agree he has lost a step and is starting to look a step behind those around him, but he is still decent with the puck, even if his board work looks sloppy, he still maintains possession most of the time, and he is a good guy to have around the net.

I'm watching the replay right now, and the FSN audio is terrible.

They have the background noises cranked up waaay too high, and Bob and Jim's volume is too low.

Anytime a fan bangs on the glass, it sounds like he's banging inside my TV.

Annoying - I hate it when FSN does this.

I wonder if Washington would like Captain Canada in a package for Semin. I am willing His play has really slipped and I would like to se more speed inserted in the line up.

How's Kovalchuk's team doing?

Somehow I think Murray is glad he went cheap and just bought Kovalchuk a cup of joe.

Smyth isn't due for another "4 goals in 5 games" streak for a couple weeks now, so I guess it IS time to bag on him a bit. I'm game.
