Bergfors can score, but his effort defensively which is none basically is the reason he is on the trade block.

They're not paying Burish to wear a suit and tie.
I'm more confused by Glennie on the 4th line. How would that benefit him or Dallas?

As am I. I was confused about the post in general, I just happened to notice Burish not in that lineup which I also found particularly odd.

This might be the best post in long time.

A right shot center who can win face-offs would be nice too though.

edit: I might've also heard something about us being interested in Bergfors?
well someone would have to light a fire under his ass. I've got him on one of my fantasy teams and he has been a healthy scratch more than I would like to admit for lack of motivation/non-effort, but his potential keeps me from tossing him. He is a bit more of a project than I hope the Stars would be willing to take on at this point.

Yeah, if he is a defensively poor, floater, I guess I'm less interested. Just looking for available right shots who more or less belong in the top six. Maybe if he was just getting PP time a la Larson's last call up? Also the Stars seem to be lucky/good with the "project" guys. I think recently some guys have generally play better here for whatever reason. Ribs, Boucher(obviously injuries played a big role), Richards. There are counter examples of course. But whatever, if he was cheap, low risk option he could be good.

According to various tweets the past few weeks, Dallas has been scouting several Leafs games. Today, the ATL beat reporter mentioned Dallas along with several other teams are viewing the Thrashers and Tampa game tonight.

I mention the Leafs now because Dallas did obviously work a deal out with them.

Thrashers fans are really down on the guy right now. It seems to me like the perfect time to buy low. Glennie, Niskanen and a pick?

Would absolutely love to see Nieuwy make a move for Bogosian.

Not gonna hold my breath though.

I don't think he played last night. I thought I read a few days go they had him practice at forward and then scratched him last night.

Also out of the lineup will be Zach Bogosian. The defenseman will be a healthy scratch for the second straight game. Ramsay said that the play of Freddy Meyer in Monday’s win in Florida earned him another game.
That is from the ATL reporter. I can't copy 2 thongs at once on my phone or I'd post the link.

Aside from Chris Phillips (who some Sens fan tried to trade us for Benn/Neal on the trade board ) Bogosian has probably been the worst regular defenseman in the NHL this season. Like worse than Niskanen kind of bad. Which is why it's even possible to think about the possibility of trading for him I guess...

Bogosian is 20 years old. Atlanta would have to be moronic (which they maybe) to sell low on the guy. I don't understand whats going on these days where fans think 20 year olds who aren't lighting it up are total busts.
