I had the same thought after the Anaheim game. Brown is on pace for 80 pts folks.

They are becoming a dynamic duo.

Such an awesome win that I didn't mind getting my ass kicked in poker just now.

According to sportsclubstats, our playoff chances went up 2.3% with the win tonight. The Sharks on the other hand went down 10.4% (the biggest drop tonight). Talk about a big win.

Trevor Lewis is the real deal, I'm so proud of him and Terry Murray for having confidence in him and letting the kid play, clearly he belongs. That goal was huge, tied 0-0 and if Niemi makes that save, the momentum shifts to the Sharks, especially after that big hit on Richardson.

Nice work Trevor .

<---- OHH and don't say I didn't tell you so!!!!

He will put up points with Peter Harrold and Raitis Ivanans on his line

Hey, J. Quick is now the only goalie in the league that's top 3 in Save %, Wins, Shutouts, and GAA.

That's got Vezina candidate written all over it if he keeps it up.

Also, was almost late for work waiting for highlights on NHL on the Fly.

Always a good morning to wake up to a Kings victory.

And I will be going to In-N-Out this afternoon.

NotHelen had a gem in the Times this morning:

"Going from famine to feast in the space of two periods, the Kings on Monday turned San Jose goaltender Antti Niemi's budding masterpiece into a paint-by-numbers picture left out in the rain."

Everyone played well this game and coupled with the Sharks playing bad, they absolutely dominated most of that game. I was really happy to see Lewis get that goal, he was going to the net and getting chances all game.

That pass by Kopi was amazing. I also loved how excited Kopi looked for Sturm when he scored. He looked really happy when Sturm got his assist too.

It's gunna be a battle the rest of the season between Quick & Tim Thomas. Due to his age, the League will probably give it to Thomas, but we'll see.......

It's photoshopped, but someone needs to snap a real picture of her and in-n-out..

If you watch from another angle, Boyle fails to get back and help out. He outright coasts to backcheck. Then when the goal goes in, he's still coasting in late and complaining to the linesman about something. Nice effort Boyle.

As others have pointed out -- the Sharks will have quite a bit to prove Saturday night. Hope the Kings aren't too fatigued by then to match the intensity.

That game could have easily been 7 or 8-0. Niemi kept them in it the first two periods

You can tell from the post game quotes that this one hurt the sharks:

Boyle:

"It's such a huge game," he said. "Yeah, it's less than halfway through the season, but we don't know which ones are going to count down the road. It's a team that's right there. It's a team in our division. That's just not right."

excited to see what happens when Mitchell comes back, Assuming JJ and DD stay together.

Will they go Mitchell-Scuds as the 2nd pairing (lol good luck any team scoring ever against that) or give Martinez Mitchell as a partner.

Come playoffs, this defence will be sick. If the lineup is

Doughty-JJ
Scuds-Greene
Mitchell-Martinez

who on earth do the other team identify as the weak pairing to match their top lines up against?
