Honestly, I don't think the idea of putting Antro on IR and sending Stapleton down is too far fetched. Stapleton's waiver expires on the 30th I believe, so he either has to clear waivers again or go to Chicago. Plus, the surgery Antropov had in the offseason is no joke. just ask Bo Jackson about hip surgery.
the good thing is we usually play well against the Pens..... It's usually not Crosby that hurts us, but Malkin. In fact, Crosby's hatty against us the last game is the only time I can really remember him doing anything against us.
Since Sid broke into the league, he has recorded 31 pts (11g 20a) in 20 games, averaging 1.55 pts per contest.
Malkin has recorded 28 pts (10g 18a) in 18 games against the Thrashers, averaging 1.56 pts per contest.
In Geno's 08/09 season, he recorded 13 points (4g 9a) in 4 games against ATL. That certainly skewed his point average against ATL, but yeah, for some reason Sid and Geno have success playing against the Thrashers.
