The problem with this team is they have too many players that disappear for great lengths of time. Lapierre was playing great up until a couple weeks ago. Then he fell apart. These lazy ass players also effect the one's that come to play. You can't beat a whole team by yourself.

You know, this just occured to me:

this slump is a lot like the Habs tasting the medicine they served Pittsburgh and Washington in the playoffs.

There was one positive tonight. Habs killed off 8 Washington PP chances. I think next game they should just play with 4 players on ice the whole game.

I almost think JM tells Lappy not to over commit on the hitting so he doesnt get caught out of position. Everything is about positionning with this guy

I can most definitely believe that because Obyrne said the same thing when he got to Colorado. JM dissuaded him from being physical for fear of being caught out of position.

Yea I clearly remember Moen being very physical when he was in Anaheim, didn't watch his games when he was in SJ. I remember his hits being hard and would also finish it.

Now, it seems like he finishes his checks because he has to.

If it's true we might as well trade Ryan White, Conboy, Schultz as they would be no use on the 3rd 4th grinding lines. You don't want grinders on the team you know.

The problem with this team is the skilled guys are small and the big guys are useless (Lappy and Moen), and the coach is keeping players like Eller who is playing well and who has size and skill with players struggling most games in the above mentioned Moen and Lappy, and with Pouliot and Darche.

JM has to get AK off the line with Pleks and Cammalleri for a bit as they are not working, put Eller there for more than one game. Call up Desharnais and put him with AK and Pouliot, put Halpren with Moen and Darche/Pyatt/Lapierre or call up Ryan White too.

I think Martin has to look at the D and say, we can play with Weber and Subban in the roster the same night. When Gorges is back, have a 6 man D of Gorges, Subban, Weber, Wisniewski as your main 4 with 2 of Gill, Hamrlik and Spacek playing...Picard can go to Hamiltion.

Price is playing well, but is being over played. If Auld isn't going to play because of a nervous coach playing him, well maybe we need to address a competent back up like Rollie from New York too?

Either way we need some changes at forward via farm or trade.

I'd agree with you if it was the first time it happened, but it's already three times they go at it. I hope they bury the hatchet soon...

I only caught the last 10 minutes. Looks like the Darche, Pools, Eller line is the only one that's effective. Also, looked like Eller was trying to take this team on his back and get them back into the game.

I wonder why 6'2 Eller, 6'3 Pouliot and 6'1 Darche seem to be consistent. Hmmm

So wait, people are pissed that the music in PK's headphones are too loud? My goodness, these are grown men...this should easily be handled.

Size is a fun one. That'll mean that when the Habs get out of their funk, they must've gotten bigger.

I am thinking I already don't like Wisniewski, he may have caused this loss by calling Montreal a Cup contender. I hope he didn't watch the game.

So I guess Patches never opened up the ice for Gomez to playing the best hockey he has played this year?

AK playing physical does the same for the Pleks and Cammarelli line too.

It's clear as day that the top 6 is too small. Clear as day.

Now that you mention it. I think the whole team quit hitting. It sure seems that way lately.

nope. It will just be Montreal got luckier and got all the bounces.

This streak has nothing to do with poor execution, lack of effort, and turnovers. Oh yeah, Montreal isn't getting any calls either.

We all know hockey is about luck.
