Umm, let's see...getting our draft picks signed is a common occurrence in season and has nothing to do with the current product on the ice.

Aronson is eligible to play for Milwaukee at the end of his junior season and can start next season in Milwaukee without playing another year of juniors...

I dont see why he would be signed before some one like Ellis, or COR. Not that i think they should be signed yet but I just dont get it

Ellis and COR were both signed previously. We currently have 53 players under contract. The limit is 50, but we're allowed to exceed that because we have 5 players whose contracts will "slide" this year (essentially not start) and therefore we can go to as many as 55 contracts without violating that limit.

It is a consideration as we talk about adding players though. If we add two more players to our reserve list without sending anyone else out...Poile's hands will be tied to player for player deals...

I didnt know that you could go up to 55 because of that reason. Thanks for the info Slake!
