Providence Bruins - post all game updates here

http://somethingsbruin.net/providenc...-of-three.html

Schaefer looked awesome both nights he played, imo. I actually went down to Hershey for the game.

Of note - my head nearly exploded when McGrattan scored on Friday - for once he was in the right place at the right time. Was actually happier to see him scratched than score on Sunday.

Jamie Arniel had an awesome weekend. There was one particular shift on Sunday against Springfield where his stick broke while he was on the PK, and instead of using his speed to get to the bench for a new stick, he got himself right into shot-blocking lanes and managed to block two shots. He followed it up by fighting the Springfield player to the puck and basically hackysack-kicking it out of the zone - and THEN went to the bench.

(as an aside - mods - is there any way we could sticky a Providence thread? a few other forums have stickied threads for their AHL teams and it might be cool to have an easily accesible place to post about the PB's.... )

Done. However, I have on request from all of those who are making GDT's for their games- please use just one thread until it reaches 1000 posts, as having one thread for every game with 10-12 posts in it is taking up unnecessary space on the board. If you want, ask a Mod to change the existing thread GDT's title to the current game playing that night, but please, let's just use one thread for the future GDT's.

Thanks Lady! I just edited the thread title. Hopefully this will make it easier to organize updates on the PBs.

We already have a prospect thread. Perhaps clarify to keep it to Providence?

Agreed.

We'll use this to post P Bruins game notes and updates.

The current prospects thread:
http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=826043

will continue to be used for just that - prospect talk.

Another game, another 4 goals allowed in...

Specifically, Portland was 3 for 5 on the PP

Glad to see Arniel and Sauve continuing to score...must be very frustrating for them to have to see their efforts go to waste night after night.

You're killing the goalies, but it doesn't help when people are making stupid turnovers right in front of the net. Specifically, the go ahead goal tonight.......

I didn't see the game, thus I didn't specifically mention Hutch. We're all aware of the defensive shortcomings of this group. I've seen a lot of poor defensive play this year for sure.

As far as Schaefer and Hutch go...we all want them to do better....fans can take a look at the "highlight" section on AHL Live and judge their play for themselves.

Hamill out again?

Wonder if Scott Gordon would come in and coach for the rest of the year

What's wrong with Hamill?

I mean, other than the obvious suckage.
