Why can't they spell EriK right.

Good news for Weise. I like him, and I think he fits in well. But damn have we been hit with the injury bug.

Yeah I'd say. Guessing Mitch Beck picked the info up while being in the locker room after the game in Hartford tonight!

I can dig it. Just hope we don't go into any shoot outs with EC gone.

Drury to center, I would hazard to guess.

Dubinsky-Stepan-Gaborik
Frolov-Anisimov-Zuccarello
Fedotenko-Boyle-Prust
Avery-Drury-Weise

Exactly what I'd like to see. Interesting to hear Tortorella say in the post-game press conference that he's always intended to go back to the Dubi/Step/Gabs combination. Good, let it develop.

I like these line combinations. Weise is a better fit on the 4th line than Christensen. Hopefully we just dont go to shootouts too often because then we are screwed.

Weise made a REALLY nice move tonight btw, he didn't score but he just shredded a few guys and drew a penalty.

Good for Weise. He looked excellent last game. Even if it's only for another 1-3 games it continues his learning and adjustment to the NHL game. Good stuff.

I think the guys should play a prank on him by unscrewing the top on his Gatorade or something.

Next year, Zucca and Weise should replace Frolov and either Christ or Feds, and obviously old man Prospal should be gone. Feds is more suited for 4th line duty so he would be my choice, with Boo replacinghim against tough teams.

Not the greatest lineup, but very young and probably easily playoff-bound.

Dubinsky-Stepan-Gaborik
(UFA;Upshall)-Anisimov-Zuccarello
Prust-Boyle-Callahan
Fedetenko-Drury-Weise
(Avery, Boogaard)

Definitely a potential playoff team, even more so if we can acquire Richards.

Callahan should be where he listed Upshall. Avery and Weise should switch lines. Unless Weise does The Official Brian Boyle summer program (can I get it one on tape?), he will not be able to handle more than fourth line duty, and Avery does not deserve to be buried there.

Fans think emotionally, which makes them judge players in a 100% reverse way. Instead of seeing experience as a positive, they view inexperience as such.

Thus, two equally talented players, one with 10 years NHL experience, one just learning the basics in Hartford, the fans will choose the inexperienced kid who still has a lot to learn.

Avery is at least as talented as Weise, probably more so. If he were 21, we would be placing him on the first line.

The reality is that when you make your lineup as a coach, you try to win today, not 4 years from now. Avery is better than Weise today, and short of a Boyle-like miracle, Weise should be on the fourth line.

That's what I had, too.

Two big guys with Zuccarello.

And I'd like to see Del Zotto back in, too, with Sauer (calming presence, doesn't run around).

Staal. Girardi
Eminger. Rozsival
Del Zotto. Sauer
