LOL!!!! I think that was the first time I ever saw a hockey player "block" the opposing players punch then land his own! Just like in wrestling haha! And right before that its funny cause he's just standing there minding his own business as all hells breaking loose and the Oiler player tries to land a couple and he just turns and smokes him! I got those highlites on VHS and am going to check it out!
Still remember the smooth move Kyosti Karjalainen made skating across the blueline vs Calgary. He put it between his legs then did a wrap around pass to Millen/Donnelly who cut to the net and scored. Was play of the week on Power stick hockey week LOL!

Whenever I drive by Magic Mountain, the McBean exit, I am reminded of the Kings' sure-fire All Star defenseman, Wayne McBean. Also, Craig Redmond comes to mind for some reason.

The guys I remember most are the revolving door at backup goalie the Kings had in the 90s. Seems to me we had three or four of Patrick Roy's backups from Montreal, Frederic Chabot and Andre Rasicot I'm certain went through LA. There was also Rick Knickle, the all-time career minor league games leader for goalies (at the time anyway). Daniel Barthieum (sp?) kicked around until the Kings drafted Robb Stauber.
I seem to recall a few other ex-Habs goalies playing in LA during the Gretzky era or shortly there after. Who am I forgetting?
I was sure Rick Knickle was the answer in net. I didn't know what the question was apparently. The other obscure player I had high hopes for was Sandy Moger. Sometimes I see a guy on the Kings who sucks and think "man, this guy is going to be good". I think it comes with being a Die Hard.
When I think of Kings suckage, I come up with an obscure player in Kings history. Paul Pageau. In 80-81 (I think that was the year) he played in one game giving up 8 goals to the Islanders. His real claim to "fame" is that during the Kings playoff brawl with the Rangers he was a healthy scratch and from the bench area grabbed Ed Hospodar who was in a fight with of all people Marcel Dionne (who had come to the aid of Mario Lessard). What Pageau didn't know was that another healthy scratch for the Rangers, Nick Fotiu, was right behind him when he did that and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. I think it was one of Jerry Buss' bodyguards that saved him.

Back to Paul Pageau for a moment I found the video... not great quality but if you go to the 5 minute mark you'll see Marce square off with Hospodar let it roll and you'll see Nick Fotiu have Pageau for lunch.

At least Wayne has an excuse for not living up to his potential. I wouldn't be focused on hockey if she was laying in bed with me either. Top priority would be to find a way to be a healthy scratch so I could get out of the dumpy Forum and back to her ASAP.
Nobody ate a better punch than Buchberger. When he dropped the gloves when he played for the Kings I cringed every time. Kelly is not a fan of Pavlov or his dog apparently.

While there is no doubt that Kelly was all heart, he really was a punching bag for anyone, including non-fighters.
